Jason with Kearney and Sons is our perennial favorite HVAC technician (among many expert technicians at K&S). He arrived Friday on time and spent over 2 hours inspecting and cleaning our dual unit system (heat pump and gas furnace/AC.) As an aging senior citizen and aspiring DIYer, I often look over his shoulder to ask him questions about our units and what minor operations I can do on my own. He patiently educated me on the filters, condensate pump and thermostat controls which I really appreciated. After the inspection he cleaned out and even polished our two outside unit to look like new. All in all a very productive and educational yearly inspection HVAC service.

Technician was professional in explaining his tasks and process in providing maintenance on the A/C units in and outside the house. I have used Kearney & Sons for several years and have not had any issues. Technicians and skill are kind and professional.

Did an amazing job replacing my whole system. Completely redesigned and installed my system, ducts, and vents. Eliminated a bunch of problems. Extremely happy with their work!

The crew that did the install: Chuck, Ian, and Mike were extremely professional and courteous during a multi day install. Roger and the staff at the office were in contact through out. Will definitely use them for any future projects!

Mr. Walt Shattuck arrived on time to perform my annual AC inspection/maintenance and my annual tankless water heater maintenance. He was very personable and professional and did a thorough job on both systems. I am extremely pleased with his professional service.

We've had Kearney and Sons at my residence for as long as I can remember and we moved to VA in 1996, not to say that our relationship went back that far but as far as I can remember back and for as long as I have been "responsible" for the house. I absolutely love seeing their number pop up on my phone knowing it's Ms. Jackie calling to remind me about my maintenance schedule, and she is an angel to deal with. A busy single mom of two girls and a herd of animals who works and goes to school this woman always works with me and is more importantly, always pleasant and kind. We have had mainly the same technicians for years also, which says a lot about a company to me. We've had Bob out at our house many times and these last two visits we met Mr. Harold Newingham. Dude is legit y'all. He spent his first visit at my house, in the rain, the POURING rain, cleaning the outside units and then offering me ways to keep them from getting to the point they were at by simply laying different rocks or pavers around them and a few other recommendations. He sat, with me AND a 19 year old girl who is learning about not only owning a home but maintaining a home and explained everything going on with our system, both visits, to her and I. You don't get that a lot of places. We, as I mentioned, have a herd of pets, and no service technicians have ever released the ferret to the great outdoors, and she's sneaky too. This isn't a company that is out to just make money off you, Mr. Newingham has told me with every visit what needs to be done, what can be done, and I've learned something new every single time. You can give someone a fish and they will eat well that night, or you can teach them to fish and they can eat for a lifetime.

I used this company once last year for a HVAC system check up and had a great experience. This year, I called a different company (they had a good special it seemed, I was incorrect) who came out and inspected my unit and tried to sell me on a $600 repair for essentially a band aid. I had a feeling we needed to call another company, so we called Kearney and Sons again, and I was so relieved by the experience that I'm excited to have the ease of mind of their maintenance plan now. On that visit, they found the source of the problem, a better solution, and explained (in a non-condensending way, which I am finding to be rare) what the exact issue was, why it could have happened, how to prevent it, and the various solutions. I have been in sales before so I know the tricks, I never felt like I was being sold something I didn't need and the experience was simple. Unrelated, I also had a new furnace installed with them, which was easy and smooth on my end.

I'd like to give a shout out to 'Walt'. To the leadership of Kearney & Sons, Walt is a great asset to your company. If we were talking about a Dr./patient relationship, he has a great 'bedside' manner'.....taking time to answer questions and recommend energy savings steps to take w/out recommending a service that is not needed. I asked a trusted friend, I think it was roughly five years ago, for a good heating/cooling company....he recommended 'Walt' of Kearney & Sons. To this day, he has not changed....punctual and provides quality service. If, I suspect you are already doing this, you have others on your team such as walt, you will continue to be one of the best, if not the best heating/cooling organizations in the business. Have been using this company for 18 years and have been very pleased with all the technicians and office staff. They installed the original equipment in our house and also the replacements after about 13/14 years. We have 2 heat pumps plus the main HVAC unit. Latest addition to their staff is Howard and it was a pleasure meeting him and seeing him work! Highly recommend this company.
