We unfortunately used this company (Cyprus Air Fireplace Systems) for a gas fireplace insert in our home. The experience was an absolute nightmare. We had originally scheduled the installation in April 2022. We had to reschedule due to a conflict but tried rescheduling with them and they kept pushing us back for months. We finally got our gas fireplace installed in JUNE! The plumbers they sent out to do the gas line installation completed it... but were so careless...they didn't turn the gas back on to the house. Had to call them back out to switch it back on. To top it off, the gas fireplace insert FAILED inspection. Shut-off valve was never installed as well as the hood that was needed for it to be compliant with county code. Also, the hood requirement was never communicated to us until after the inspection failed. The hood is cheap-looking and not aesthetically pleasing. Multiple calls were sent to our Cyprus "account manager" but she never seemed to work core business hours. Communication was terrible from Cyprus through out the entire process. No follow up after completed installation or for remaining balance payment. Called Cyprus to share our experience and they offered to cover one yearly inspection....WORTHLESS ....considering that we have to now purchase a protective screen (which costs approximately 400-600 dollars) to protect our expected newborn. STAY AWAY!

Not a Bad Word

Our unit was just installed a few days ago and I noticed after a while that it is leaking and flooding our basement. I’ve called the company many times since Friday and no one is able to get in touch with the install team.

We have a two year old BABY in this house with no way to make sure the temperature is comfortable for him and us without FLOODING our basement.

PLEASE help me get someone out here to 6060 Laurel Wreath Way Columbia, MD ASAP.

I would give a “zero” if this option was there. Stay away from this company. They will charge you on a monthly basis for a slipshod maintenance service. They checked my cooling and heating system just 2 months ago and confirmed everything was working perfectly. I have recently had a big issue with the blower motor and learnt the issue details by googling the error code displayed on infinity board. The service guy came to check the issue but just stared at the unit for almost 30 mins till i told him it might be blower motor issue. Then he recommended me to replace the entire unit (which costs $20K). I think he was so impressed by my reaction because then he offered to replace the part for a $3K and then reduced the price to $2700 in 10 mins. Next day I connected w / Carrier’s certified repair center and they did a very professional job and replaced the part in 2 days at $2300.
I called Cyprus Air maybe 10 times to cancel my subscription and do the refund for the extra months’ charges, still no reaction - it has passed two months after my first cancellation claim- if you want a company to charge you on a regular basis w no service provided then you are at the right place. Say “bye” to your $30 / month.

I honestly could not tell you what they did. I know for a fact that they did not open up all the vents in the home because I was in the main room and no one came in for the two vents in that room. I didn’t get any explanation as to the condition of our hvac ducts. I’m really not sure what we paid $325 for.

On top of that, someone forged my signature on their contract. I never signed anything through them, but I received their email receipt with their terms and conditions and my name, signed to it twice, but they’re not my signatures.

Hired this company to fix our AC at the beginning of July. It’s now September and the job still isn’t done. There’s a gap in the unit so all the cold air is just blowing around my attic. They never installed filters so I have asthma attacks everyday I come home from work. And they are already billing me despite the above. They have cancelled or no showed our appointments several times to fix this, then reschedule appointments without telling us on days that do not work because I work full time and like any normal person need to request time off work. Not to mention the damage they did to my walls and hardwood floors to do a poorly executed job. Oh, and they failed to pull permits so that’s also another ordeal.
