I am a highly satisfied Cyprus Air customer. All our residential (heating, cooling, fireplace) equipment were purchased from Cyprus and installed by Cyprus technicians. Today, they did the sir duct cleaning. They did a good job.

The gas fireplace repair person from Cypress Air came to my McLean, VA home to repair my fireplace. His name is Christian. He is personable, clear spoken, bright, considerate and clearly knows what he is doing. If Cypress Air will send him to me again when I need service, I will always stay with Cypress Air. Cypress Air is currently offering a sale of gas fireplaces. Christian has ordered a part and ultimately saved me the expense of the purchase of a new fireplace. (This was after both my builder and electrician saying I needed to replace it)

Worst Customer Service - Non responsive to multiple calls with no follow-up. During my recent winter maintenance check, the technician confirmed that there was a problem with my existing thermostat and that it should be replaced with a newer model (existing one is no longer manufactured). I was asked to pay the FULL $900 charge for both the thermostat AND the installation charge up front. All of the risk was placed on me, the customer. Cypress Air has my money and nearly a month later, not only do I not have a new thermostat, I don't even have an estimate on WHEN to expect it. I was originally told that the thermostat would arrive in a couple of days and that they would then schedule a date for installation. That was weeks ago! Multiple phone calls have been placed to inquire on status but all I get are either (1) the answering service to leave a message with NO return call or (2) some lame excuse about businesses being closed during the holidays and/or supply chain issues. The answers sounds like an insincere song and dance routine that frankly I found condescending. It is not unreasonable for a business to provide an estimated arrival date in the 21st Century. I have been a long term customer that has participated in their maintenance service program and I know I deserve better. I will be looking for another HVAC company and hope that they will at least return my phone calls. I am sorry to say that I no longer trust Cypress Air with my HVAC needs.

Very good and exceptional service performed on my boiler and radiators. My tech, Maireni, was not only professional but helpful. He had my radiators going from like warm to hot in less than 30 minutes! Maireni explained how to care for my system better. Had my routine, annual maintenance Jan 9. Note, my fireplace was working fine prior to that visit. Jan 10, my fireplace would not stay lit. The same technician who was sent back the next week, claimed the wire from heat modulator, which turns the fireplace off when it gets too hot, was damaged. (I'm pretty sure he damanged it.) So, he disconnected the part so I could use the fireplace. Called customer service and was told a manager/supervisor would call me about the matter. It is now Feb 24 and I'm still waiting. Today was my 4th time calling. I was told someone would call me today.

Call Cyprus and let them insult you. Really. They want to charge you over $400 to show up at your house for a maintenance call...before walking in the door...and you need to set aside an entire day because they won't tell you when they're coming until the night before ("I'm sorry Sue, we'll have to re-schedule your open heart surgery for next month...Cyprus is coming to my house for maintenance!!!"). You can do so much better than Cyprus. You can fly to the Caribbean for less than a Cyprus maintenance call...you choose!
