Paid 800 to fix a problem of the system freezing the lines and now less then a week later our lines are frozen again and we have no AC.
Update: The owner called me back today and had his guy out here this evening and fixed the issue for free. As long as everything is good this time would recommend in the future.
The company was really responsive and accommodating to my service request. The technician showed on time, diagnosed the issue accurately, solved it in an amazing time-frame, and gave us some recommendations that may help avoid future AC related problems. 10/10 recommend Chrisianson Air Coditining and Plumbing for all your AC/plumbing needs.
Good I guess....$130 just to take 1 minute and tell me mine line was clogged and it would be another $60 to unclog it. Borrowed a buddies shop vac and fixed it in 2 minutes. Just wish there was desecration on the diagnostic fee especially if I'm just 2 years into my warranty.
Very good company. Have had great experience in the past. Having some trouble recently. Somewhat typical appointment issues. Scheduled appointment and was told they would be here 8-12. Called after 12 and was told tech should be there in 30 mins. Annoying but ok. They call back and now it’s an hour. I asked to reschedule. I understand they have busy schedules but I seriously can’t sit here waiting for someone when I have no idea when they will come. It’s unacceptable. The company does good work and is reputable so this is frustrating. My previous appointment did not go like this. They showed up when expected.
They are extremely professional and very good. Jeff came and looked at issue realised it was replacement and just charged me for that and no additional fees. Super efficient and fast. Thanks so much Jeff for your help. Much appreciated.
Easily the worst HVAC/plumbing company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. After four different visits across FOURTEEN DAYS, our system is still not cooling. We were the last stop of the day for each of the three different techs who visited us (one was here twice) and because of this they were always in a hurry to wrap things up and go home, even if the job wasn’t finished. I have been in this apartment in temperatures of 83+ degrees for TWO WEEKS thanks to these unprofessional, incompetent con artists. If I was you, I’d take your money literally ANYWHERE else instead of Christianson.
Highly Recommend Christianson for HVAC system needs. They installed a system in 2017 and came out for a maintenance servicing and cleaning. Their technician was professional and knowledgeable.
Worst customer service. 5 minute warning call instead of 30-20 noted when scheduling. I was putting my infant to sleep and the tech banged down the door like a cop waking my kid up who was in a serious fit from the loud bang. Mind you I have a sign that says please don't knock. He was incredibly rude and looked at me like I was unjustified in explaining why his knock was inappropriate. Then when I asked if he could remove his shoes or I can provide shoe covers he refused and said "I never remove my boots". After a back and forth he conceded and "found some in his truck" Throughout the entire service appointment he was very condescending and said that he did not hear a problem with our vents which is what he was here to check. They were clearly making a very loud noise and I also had video that I sent to the company prior to scheduling this appointment. Do not use them they were forced upon me by a warranty company and find somebody else who is more friendly and will not come into your house with a grumpy attitude and bad energy. Worst company to work with
I used them a few months ago to replace the indoor unit at a rental home and the install went great. I was very pleased. And I was happy to find a company I could rely on to do a good job.
Fast forward to yesterday, I called them to check a Trane unit at another home. The fee to come out was a reasonable $75. The tech came out and found that a mouse had chewed through a wire at the outdoor unit. They wanted an additional $120 to splice in a new wire and reprogram my thermostat.
When I asked why the thermostat would need to be reprogrammed, he stumbled over his explanation, finally saying the error codes needed to be cleared. I know for a fact that you only need to reboot the thermostat via the wall switch to clear the error codes (I was right, btw). He calls me back and agrees to just change the wire for $80. Fine. It's still expensive, but at least it'll be done.
When I checked the job this morning, I could see the old wire leading right up into the unit. I'll edit this if I find a spliced in wire when I check tomorrow morning, but I assume he just used the slack in the wire to reconnect to the control board.
In addition, he broke the plastic housing on top of the condensor in two places, and left the sharp edge of the panel rubbing against the wires going into the unit. See the photos.
When I called to complain this morning, the service manager told me it was his honest opinion I had intended all along to find everything wrong I could with the job so that I could get out of paying for it. At least he agreed to refund the entire amount, but now I have an outdoor condensor that looks broken as I try to sell the house.
I have all the calls recorded in case anyone in management at Christianson wants to hear them.
