Santoro Oil

My wife and I recently purchased a new house that is oil heat. Wanting a company that would both deliver the oil, service the boiler and provide automatic replenishment was important to us. When we first reached out we were told the oil price was $4.14 a gallon. The sales rep who came out was very smooth talking and moved very quickly, no time to discuss due to the fact that he began drawing up the contact and it was clear he wasn’t leaving until we signed.

We were pretty upset when the first delivery had a price of $4.59. Knowing that the price does fluctuate I called to inquire. The conversation lead to further frustration when I was told Santoro had not had oil prices of $4.14 all season and at the time of the contract signing the actual price was $4.29. We would not have left apple Valley oil if we were told the true price, they were at 4.09. In Santoro defense they did adjust the price to $4.19 as a first time fill rate.

The bottom line is the contract sold to us was under false pretenses and the sale reps tactics and explanation when challenged about the price discrepancy on what was really said were questionable at best. We don’t know if we will stay with Santoro as our introduction to them contains very shady practices.

From start to finish it was a great experience. From Angela in the office, to the guys who game out and installed our new gas Furnace and hot water tank. They were professional, friendly, explained everything and when they were done, you could not even tell they had done major work. Everything was all cleaned up. Highly recommend.

I lost heat Saturday night and called for service. The answering service got me in touch with Matt right away and he was at my house in about 30 minutes. He was very thorough in his assessment, and he fixed my problem and got the heat working again. He was very explanatory in what work he did and I couldn't be more pleased with his professionalism. Thanks again!!!

We can’t recommend Scott as a technician highly enough. He’s like an HVAC super sleuth. He wouldn’t quit until he figured out what was wrong with our system. He answered all our questions and went above and beyond to get the job done!

Service tech called ahead, was on time. Conversational and friendly. Assessed the issue immediately and got to work. Overall and outstanding experience.

I would not trust them, very shady and not reliable. We had an inspector tag a furnace as a fire hazard. I guess since they were the ones who serviced that furnace at the time they did a "servcing" on it and deemed it fine THREE TIMES, even tho one of the pipes had a hole with fumes escaping from it. Thankfully we went with our gut and had a third party inspect it as well. The report came back as expected, that it was indeed a hazard and almost to the point of being condemned. THEN when we had the furnace replaced, we saw the extent of the damage and corrosion in the furnace. Im still in awe that this company tried saying that the furnace was fine.

Had new boiler installed just recently, Santoro Oil men were very professional and pleasant, easy going men. Work was done in a quiet quick and efficient manner, in and out. If you ever need a new boiler installed, do not hesitate to call Santoro. Thank you guys!

Also want to mention, communication with Santoro office manager (Angela) was very good. She was quick to reply, and always respectful.

My family has been a customer of Santoro Oil for many years. We have always received honest and dependable service from competent technicians. I recently called for service on my boiler and the technician, Junior was exceptional. He was professional, diagnosed and corrected the problem. He inspected all aspects of the system and made me aware of what to be alerted for in the event of any future problems. I also want to acknowledge the customer service staff and Darlene who is always friendly and helpful on the phone. This Company is top notch, dependable, reliable and customer friendly. Mike was great. I pointed out a few issues we had with the oil burner and asked him to see if anything was a concern. He checked and found a potential cause and answered all my questions. He also informed me about RI moving toward bio-fuels and that they will adjust our system as needed. I want to know the technical details about our system and he answered all my inquiries. Great experience overall!
