Great experience! Prompt, professional and respectful. Service manager spent a lot of time gathering information before a plumber was scheduled. Plumber was able to diagnose a water issue that countless others have not. Ended up being an external issue and not even a plumbing issue - which illustrates how thorough these folks are! He even made recommendations on remediation — although outside of their wheelhouse. Would highly recommend.

South side plumbing has always provided five star service for me. They are always prompt, explain what they’re gonna do down to the last penny and do exactly what they promise.

Cody and Neil were awesome. Made it on time and were able to unclog my drain and install a new garbage disposal in under 2 hours. Cleaned up after themselves and were very professional. Would recommend south side to any one as well as these two gentlemen. Very knowledgeable and efficient.

This was our first time needing a plumber in our new home, and we had a wonderful experience. Both Bill and Mikey were the best! Bill was awesome over the phone walking me through some of the inner-workings of the copper piping in our home ahead of needing service, and Mikey was super flexible the day we needed service. He was quick, efficient, and kind while also taking the time to teach us a few things about our pipes. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. So happy to have them in the neighborhood!

Everyone from Bill on the phone to Neil and Cody who did the work were all phenomenal to work with. They made sure they we understood every option and educated us throughout the whole process. I don’t think I have ever worked with a better plumbing company. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have been using Southside Plumbing and Heating for several years and have been quite happy with their fast responses and service when something needed repaired or replaced.

When the time came recently to replace my furnace and air conditioning they were very helpful in selecting the best system for my home. Ryan and James spent two days doing the install and I was quite impressed with their work. They were very professional and courteous, and took time explaining the upgrades I chose for my new system. They were also very neat and meticulous with their work.

SSPH had a fair quote for replacement of AC unit offering quality equipment and quick service. Against 3 other reputable providers quote was fairly priced(lowest) for top line brands. Better yet with challenging supply and staffing for all providers, were able to provide equipment and replacement service in less than 2 weeks. New system now installed and working better than old system ever could. Crew was able to over come fitment issues promptly and complete install and have operating before day end.

Ryan arrived promptly in the designated time frame to do a safety checkup on our furnace. He was very thorough, and explained everything he did in the process & his findings. He confirmed our furnace is running well and safely to boot. He recommended the proper filter for our particular unit to help with efficiency and safety.

We have relied on South Side Plumbing & Heating for several jobs - they are always prompt, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend!

Overall: Make sure you get EVERYTHING said in writing and know you are going to be responsible for many calls to get your work scheduled (even after paying down payment).

When I moved into my condo there was a small leak between an old copper pipe and a more contemporary metal. I found this out in my home inspection and when I went to get it looked at I emailed my inspection to SSP&H. They looked at it and told me that it would be a simple pipe fix. I tried to explain that my inspector said that the repair would require the water to be shut off since it was a main line that was leaking. They steam rolled over that and suggested that's not true, me not being a plumber said ok.

Then they show up to do the work and immediately said this is going to require that the water be shut off and we need to have someone come do an estimate. The person who showed up had also not looked at the inspection with pictures and details that I had emailed in making this appointment. Then they charged me 90$ for showing up even though the inspection would have clearly told them that it required the water being shut off and would have required an estimate. I was then told by the dispatcher that I would pay now and then if I went with them for the repair they would remove the 90$ from my final bill. Fine, I said I just want to get this done it would take another two weeks to schedule the inspection after repeated calls (and this should have probably been a warning sign, but I was trying to get this repair done).

Then when I get the estimate and ask if they will remove the earlier fee from it they said that no one had ever said that and it would not be possible. I tried to ask them to honor this and explained the story of inspection, but the dispatcher who I had been speaking with before being switched over to estimates department never responded to my emails or as part of the threads between the two parts of the company when I tried to get clarification on this. Frustrated and about 6 weeks into no repair I just decided to use these folk. I paid the deposit and then after me calling many times after not hearing from them I was finally able to get on the schedule. But, once again I had to do all of this calling and leaving repeated messages after being told that I would be reached out in a day or two.

I do not think I would use them again, and would really caution others about being misled and warn folks to make sure they are aware they are likely to need to do a lot of legwork to make the appointments happen. This place was a recommendation from a friend, but now I would not recommend them. I am still leaving two stars as at least there is no problems with the quality of the work so far.
