I am a real estate broker and have lived in Portland all my life, and I recommend The Heating Specialist to all of my friends and clients. They did a heat and A/C installation at my home and were prompt, professional, and affordable. I have had them come out for maintenance and repair issues, and they are always on time and resolve the issues quickly. The front desk and billing staff is very friendly and easy to work with, and the technicians are very knowledgeable! I will definitely use The Heating Specialist for all my future heating/cooling needs and continue to refer people to them. Definitely above and beyond other local heating companies!

We recently used The Heating Specialist to remove our old oil fired boiler and install a natural gas combination tankless water heater and radiant floor heater. They prepared a detailed estimate from the initial site visit that demonstrated their knowledge of radiant floor systems and happily discussed budget and value options. They provided clear communication and were very respectful and courteous while they performed their work. The installation went very smoothly and I have been very happy with the final product. Would highly recommend them for anyone upgrading their radiant floor heating source.

These guys are pretty legit; professional and knowledgeable without any BS. The technician, Kevin, was friendly and easy to talk to. He even suggested a repair I can do on my own to save some money which I am more than happy to do, and very appreciative of.
It looks like these guys have some competent guys working for them, if they're able to keep guys for 20+ years than it must be a good company.
Highly recommended and probably should have called sooner.

The Heating Specialist installed our new heat pump today. The whole process was seamless. I had contacted a few companies and Daniel was the most prompt to respond and after meeting with him, I didn't get any other proposals. Jana in the office was wonderful and provided great follow up, even when I was slacking. Today, the installers Carlos and another gentleman, arrived at the early end of their arrival window and were very friendly and got right to work. I was not home for the installation, but Carlos called as soon as they were finished with a couple of follow ups and recommendations. The end project turned out perfect! I would absolutely recommend The Heating Specialist! You won't be disappointed.

I'm so happy we went with The Heating Specialist to install our new furnace, AC, and thermostat. Daniel was great getting us all the info we needed and had us scheduled for installation promptly. I enjoyed working with the whole team, from installers to technicians to the office staff. It's a big investment so it's good to know the team cares about their work.

My furnace died on a Saturday. The first place I called took two days to get back to me, only to say it would take them at least a month before they could do the work. So I called The Heating Specialist. Daniel was at my house within hours to give me a quote, and the new furnace was installed within two days. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and professional. They went out of their way to make sure that I had all the information I needed and that I was happy with the result. Excellent work and excellent customer service. I would recommend these folks to anyone!!

In the past, I had The Heating Specialist out to do some upgrades on my home's ductwork and they did first class work. Recently, I called them on a Tuesday (during the heat of the summer) to tell them that my AC unit and air handler (furnished and installed by others, years ago) were not functioning properly. Long story short, the next day they were out to troubleshoot - and by Friday that same week they had the entire system replaced and up and running. Their service is excellent in all respects, their quality of work is top notch, and when they left you couldn't tell they had been here - except for the greatly improved system they furnished and installed at a fair price. They left their work areas cleaner than they were when they arrived. I have a construction background, and I recommend them without any reservations.
