The Heating Specialist came recommended to me by a good friend.. On a super short notice (only a few hours) Daniel came out to give me an estimate on an A/C replacement unit. Mine was over twenty years old, and not working, I knew it was time for a new one. The estimate was reasonable, the unit quoted was in stock, and their schedule for installation was open for the following week. (Estimate quote on a Thursday, installed on the following Monday) Santino, and Jimmy arrived at the scheduled time, and got right to work. They removed the old, and installed the new unit in about four hours.. I’m very pleased with whole experience, from the first phone call, to them cleaning up nicely, and having a cooled home again.. Our furnace stopped working a few days before Thanksgiving. The HVAC company who had been servicing our system couldn't get someone out to our house for 10 days. I contacted The Heating Specialist and Kevin was able to do the emergency repairs that evening. We are now done with our original HVAC company and The Heating Specialist is going to be our go to company for servicing all of our HVAC systems.

For last couple of years I've used these folks to maintain and repair an aging and failing water heater/boiler. Based on their response and effort to fix my problems - and expertise in boilers - I finally bit the bullet and contracted for installation of a new Lochinvar combo boiler. I trusted their judgement and recommendation that this unit will perform better and last longer than other brand originally installed about 9 years ago. Installation went smooth and quicker than estimated. All workers (they sent a full crew) were friendly and professional, and came all masked up.

Folks, these guys/gals are the real deal. Ontime and Professional. My Technician, Grant was spot on with the needed repair. As a homeowner I could not be happier. Thank you The Heating Specialist

Most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. They gave me an estimate that was so high I did some investigation. I looked up the price of the parts and found the bill to be around $8000 higher than it should be. I asked for a clarification and break down of costs and I was completed ignored. I figured they realized I knew they were trying to scam me and thought that would be the end of it. I had the work done by another company (same unit quoted) for thousands less. I was completely surprised when then this company called asking for payment $210 (including a $20 charge for gas). I called explaining that I the estimate was a complete rip off and I was told " they have a right to charge what ever they want". Unless you have an extra $200 to waste I suggest you don't ask this unethical company for an estimate.

Lifelong Portland resident. I've went with a handful of big and little name companies until finding The Heating Specialist. With this company there wasn't hype or oversell, just great work! Did the job right the first time and I very much appreciate the job they do.

During the hottest days of this summer when it hit 115, our AC could barely keep up-- and along with everyone else in town --our AC unit was on it's last leg because the previous owner's dog hair was in everything. We couldn't get a hold of several companies or they couldn't come out for several weeks, but The Heating Specialist responded.

Danielle showed up the next night after hours to see what was going on -- and it turns out our AC and Furnace were near end of life. He put us on the list to have everything replaced, and ordered all the parts immediately. They kept us informed of the timeline on when to expect the new install and we were super lucky that it only took about 1.5 weeks since the temperature didn't drop below 85 for weeks.

They were on time, professional with the install and clean-up, and provided us with a new system. They had everything with them and completed the install of the new AC, furnace, and thermostat all in one day. We wanted the super allergen filter but wasn't able to fit our existing system but they problem solved and was able to get us an air scrubber.

Now we have a cool house, and clean air. My allergies have never been better. It's been a couple of months since they installed, and everything is working very well. We had near 100 degree days since and this new system keeps up with the temperature without any issues.

HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend. They are professionals.

We also had a new water heater installed. This company was friendly and professional from the bid and installation scheduling (Presley), to the installers (Nicholas and Christian), who were prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. We would definitely use this company again.

The Heating Specialist has serviced the furnaces at my home and rentals for many years. They are always on time, very knowledgeable and do a great job. This year I had to have replace my furnace at my home due to age and replaced it with a 99% efficient Lennox furnace. They installed it and a new high tech thermostat all in one day. The price of the system and filter was very competitive and the other bid I received was for the same price but for a less quality unit. I love the furnace. It’s quiet and efficient.
Bottom line is that The Heating Specialist is my go to contractor for furnace and plumbing jobs.

The Heating Specialist definitely deserve a 5 star review. I don’t normally share reviews but their professionalism and work deserve it! From the start our experience was awesome. Daniel came over and provided a thorough, low pressure consultation explaining all that would be required to install our AC. I signed a proposal that day. The next day, Janna from the office contacted me and explained everything. This was so welcoming and comforting to know they are working for us. Daniel and Jenna called me less then a week later to let me know the schedule. Soon after, Janna called and asked if if wanted an earlier install. YES! It was 113 degrees that day! Their team including an electrician showed up on time and completed the install in less than 6 hours. Super professional team and responsive to all our questions. They reviewed the whole system before leaving. Our house is now so cool! I would recommend this company to any of my friends and family.
