Paramount Heating & Air

My home warranty company has selected Paramount to service our furnace on more than one occasion. Both times, service was scheduled same-day because we were without heat. The Paramount employee arrived later than expected- but I understand this when I schedule a same-day appointment. Also, it was communicated to me by Paramount's scheduler AND the technician when it was known that they would be late, so that I knew when to expect them. All issues were well explained and costs were clear. Recommendations were made in regards to what we can do now to get as many more days possible out of our 25 year old furnace. I love the text notifications that allows me to see where my technician is once he is en route to my home.

It's hard to find a heating and cooling company that you trust, and Paramount is one that I trust. They prioritize the customer and put you first. This is evidenced by really quick response times and terrific customer service. Ian was our tech today and he did a fantastic job. Identified the issue, fixed it, explained it well, and went on his way. I highly recommend these guys.

I had a great experience with Paramount Services. Jared and Nick were very professional and worked hard. Jared was very knowledgeable about the whole system he installed and explained it to me. They were friendly and polite, finished on time and cleaned up when done. Thank you.

After moving, contacted Paramount Air to do a check of our system. They came out next day and did an outstanding job! Jonah was our tech - cannot say enough wonderful things about his professionalism, knowledge and help. Thank you Jonah!!!

Mitch J came and assisted the situation and clearly explain to me what was happening in my home. He diagnosed the problem and covered what the charges would be along with some other helpful preventative services I could get. I selected the membership package, a fan cleaning and had my Freon recharged up to levels. Mitch was one of the most professional young men I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He did an excellent job which was the main reason I took the membership because he represented the company so well that I was comfortable knowing I was going the get a good service. I really like the service I recieved from this company. James, the technician is great to work with- he takes the time to explain everything with honesty and integrity. Plus he is very friendly, and I can tell he takes pride not only in his work but with the customer he is working with. I specifically asked for him again for our tune-up because of this. 10/10 recommend!

Their office folks were friendly and scheduled my A/C service on the same day. They texted me when the technician was on the way. Andrew was very competent and checked my system thoroughly. He diagnosed my unit was low on refrigerant (R-22). He estimated it would require 1 to 1.5 lbs. to top it off. He explained R-22 is no longer being manufactured or imported in the US. He said it’s very expensive at $840 per pound. I agreed to have Andrew top it off. It took 17 ounces but he would only charge me for a pound. The A/C is now working OK, but since there is a leak we can’t predict how much longer it will last.
The total cost was around $936 but with a 20% discount for joining their maintenance plan it came to $769.28

My problem with Paramount is the $840/lb charged for the R-22. I contacted three refrigerant suppliers and received quotes from $65 to $70 per pound. Paramount charged me 12X the current price! Further research revealed that HVAC repair companies would charge up to a max of $150 / lb. Also, the maximum hourly labor rate one could expect is $150. Andrew was at my house exactly 1 hour and 8 minutes. If we take the maximum R-22 and labor costs we arrive at $300. Add another $50 for other fees and we have at total cost of $350 NOT THE $769.28 I paid! I explained this to Tony, a manager at Paramount. He said he would review my job and get back to me. NO RESPONSE! I visited the office with my complaint. They said they would contact Tony right away. That was two days ago! NO RESPONSE!

If my experience represents the business practices of Paramout Heating and Air, they are not the company I want to do business with.

Matt and Austin did an amazing job cleaning the duct work in our house! They were very professional, knowledgeable, and personable! They made sure they didn’t track their shoes throughout the house, which is bonus points from my wife! I would definitely recommend Paramount and plan to use them again in the future!

You can count on Paramount to deliver the highest quality of service! I have been with the company for a number of years. I had a problem with my air conditioning today and they came out in less than 2 hours.

We have been club members at Paramount for a few years now and for the most part have been really pleased with the services. The scheduling is easy and the technicians are extremely courteous. Our only concerns are that the staff seems pretty racially homogenous, and one time when a tech didn't realize we were in the club, he tried to upsell a service to us. When he realized we were club members, he walked it back and said our unit wasn't actually in need of the service and that we could just hose the compressor down ourselves. Haven't seen that tech since then though and wonder if he might not be there anymore. Also have noticed they seem to retain staff well, which is always a good sign.
