    So, my 34yr old Lennox furnace quit working 3 nights ago and it was about 27degrees over night. I contacted my Home Warranty company who had me schedule my own appointment with a “B” rated or higher company from Angie’s List.

    I told the technician who came out to Care for me that I thought the thermostat was the issue because I’d had problems with it before. It’s an old mercury switch one. By the time he’d left, I was told the furnace had something very wrong with it and that the wiring wasn’t getting power. He didn’t think the thermostat was an issue since nothing was working (Heat, AC or Blower). Too me, that says the stat is the likely culprit when nothing is working.

    I then informed my warranty company again and they said they would be sending their contractor (Paramount) out to look at it. I scheduled with them at 9:15am Friday morning and got a call to meet Rob at noon of the same day. Rob asked what was going on with the furnace and I let him know about the previous diagnosis by the other Caring company. I also mentioned to him I had issues with the thermostat previously. The first thing he did was bypass the thermostat wires, and voila, it worked!

    We were under the assumption our unit was needing replaced before Paramount and Rob showed up. Thanks to Rob being quite good at his job we do not have to spend thousands on a new system yet!

    Thanks to Paramount and Rob for being professional, competent, efficient and earning a loyal customer. I can’t recommend them enough based on my experiences!

    Matt called before his arrival. He was quick to diagnose the issue (a blown furnace fuse) and installed our new thermostat. He was fast and efficient! Would definitely recommend Paramount and Matt!

    Our long standing, work horse of a furnace decided that 2 days ago (the coldest day of the season thus far) was the best possible day to be neither worky nor horsey. So sad. But more importantly, SO COLD. Our now neither worky nor horsey furnace is also super weird (which, being weird myself, I appreciate!) and as such, very few companies will even TOUCH it. Literally. One company said that they wouldn’t even touch the unit because “safety.” But Paramount is not afraid of weird work horses and sent Fred out to give us the low down. Guys…GET YOURSELF A FRED!!! Dude was GREAT! Thoroughly inspected the beast, explained his findings clearly (with pictures!) and didn’t even seem phased by my spawn who decided at that moment to use me as a climbing apparatus as they train for Everest (or some such nonsense) nor by my enormous dog that was very interested in some smell on him (judging by the doggo’s enthusiasm I am fairly certain Fred had bacon in his pockets, but I am NOT judging. Bacon is delicious).
    Despite Fred’s very best efforts, the beast was declared dead (the furnace, not the dog!) and we will be installing a new unit on Monday with Paramount. This should IN NO WAY be seen as any fault or failure on Fred. We are very happy with his work.

    From scheduling to installation, this business has had my back. I have never had a business be so supportive in my life. I've had a major problem with Marijuana and cigarette smoke coming through my vents, walls, outlets from my neighbors. James is very supportive and spent a lot of time examining and sealing up my system, as well as explaining likely reasons why the problem exists. He also installed a UV system for me and has been very patient as I've tried different versions to see what works for my needs. I really appreciate the support of the company throughout this journey. My situation is very stressful, but they have my back.

    One of the additionally awesome things about James is that he is always learning and staying on top of the latest research (EPA, proper peer-reviewed) surrounding air quality, HVAC and purification systems.

    Not only is this business supportive, they are transparent and prompt in communication and scheduling.

    I'd also like to call out Drew and Hector. Drew was the PM for my new furnace and was extremely supportive while I applied to my HAO for a permit to install it. It required an exhaust hole in the side of my building and I live in a condo. He even communicated with me by text (my preference) and was ridiculously prompt and friendly. Especially when my neighbor went a little psycho on me with a paranoid fear about the exhaust vent being next to her AC. He helped me find the right words to explain and quell her fears, while also developing a contingency plan should it become an issue. The installation team (Hector and his assistant) was very professional and friendly. Hector has a great sense of humor and is very efficient.

    I also had my ducts cleaned, and I've never seen anyone exhibit happiness and excitement about their job the way these two people did. Sadly I don't remember their names. Truth be told, it was shocking and refreshing to see their hope and enjoyment.

    All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this business. I've tried the Five Star services, and they pale in comparison. Paramount serves the customer, not their pockets. You can trust them to offer what will work for you, even if it's not the most expensive option. Everyone I engaged with at Paramount was passionate about their jobs, which is the best way to ensure quality work and customer service.

    My AC went down on a 95 degree day right before July 4th. Even though I'd never done business with them before, Paramount was able to come out the same day and get things running. Not only that, but my technician took the time to explain everything and was prompt, professional and courteous.

    Nate has been over at my house multiple times and every time he is very professional and on time. This is a very good company and I highly recommend them for all your Plumbing and HVAC need. The company does not try to push unnecessary products on you. They only recommend whats needed.

    Matt was knowledgeable and very helpful in explaining the problem with our humidifier as well as air flow issues. He was able to repair a few things right away and made arrangements for the remaining parts to be ordered.
