Set up an appointment for service, but never showed up.
Called and talked with the staff next day, who promised to call me the following day to reschedule the missed appointment, but never did.
The initial conversation was full of innuendos and condescending. The company has to re-orient the "gatekeepers" as to how to talk with professional customers.

I used Bell Mechanical to install 3 of the ductless heating & A/C Carrier units in my home. It was a great experience and I am loving the units so much!

The team that came was absolutely fantastic! John was great when he came out for the estimate. He was extremely kind and thorough. The team that came to install the units a few weeks later was also fantastic! They were all very friendly and very neat. Milo, who I communicated with most, was extremely professional, kind and informative.

I highly recommend Bell for any services and I plan on using them for any maintenance or issues with my home in the future.

Workers are great, but I am very disappointed with the scheduling. First, the initial date I was given was changed to a day earlier. Was forced to cut my business trip short or else have to wait who knows how long to be rescheduled. Then, they were supposed to finish the job on Friday, but never showed up. When I called I was told they won't come back until Monday because they messed up and didn't schedule me. Yet another day of work lost and another weekend with no a/c.
UPDATE (6/15/23): My HVAC system has been giving me problems since Bell installed it 2 years ago. During the warranty period, they sent repairmen over to band-aid the situation. Apparently, my system had been leaking refrigerant since it had been installed. Instead of finding the leak and repairing it, they would just send repairmen over to add refrigerant, but they never bothered to find out where the leak was coming from. Now that their warranty is up, they want to charge me $2,000 to fix it. Unfortunately, I now have to take legal action against them. Don't be fooled by all of the good reviews on here for them. There is new management now, and most of the good reviews are from the previous management. I regret ever having done business with Bell.

I am Very Disappointed ! I had schedueled an appointment for my Oil Burner maintenance servicing last month on October 3, 2021 and your earliest was November 17, 2021. I called this morning, days before the date to reconfirm, only to be told you will be unable to come on scheduled date and push me off into December now. This is very unprofessional and not the way to win over new customers. I have wasted a month and half waiting on your company when I should have contracted with others to perform this weather before the winter season.

Found damages caused by installers. Waiting for Bell to fix them. Will update

Installers failed to re-power condensate pump, causing water to flood under my laminate flooring. Bell came in, took pictures, and that's the last I heard from them, they turned it over to their insurance company who never came to investigate. Repair bill for damages was $10,000.

Despite insincere comment of concern by the owner, Mr. Bell never contacted me directly, and I was forced to claim the damages under my own insurance, which ultimately contributed to major problems with my insurance carrier. This "small" error ultimately cost me thousands of dollars in out of pocket expense.

Avoid this company AT ALL COST !

Literally scheduled over a month ago for a heating repair. Today should have been the appointment. Since I didn't get a confirmation call, I just called them to then be told that it's cancelled and they were just about to call me.
Kind of the service you expect when you have no heat at home and it's hard to take off days from work to be around for them.
"But we can give you an appointment in a week."
I'm a returning customer which makes this even worse.

Would not recommend!

7/27/22 update. Still do not recommend. At my demand, Bell purchased two portable AC units for my house until our system was fixed. We’ve waiting over SIX weeks and the part was delivered and a serviceman came to the house to install it, only to find out it was the wrong part. We’ve no clue when this will get resolved but I’m looking to return this system and never do business with Bell, again. I’m also not dealing with Tyler anymore at Bell. He has been the least helpful during this entire experience.

Original review:Don’t recommend. Had a $13k heating/cooling system installed by them a couple of months ago that has had problems since day one. Now, we have no air conditioner. Bell has come to the house, twice, with no success (even though each time they said they fixed the problem). Now, we need to wait two weeks for the part (assuming Bell got it right the third time) and THEN we can be put on their schedule. No air conditioner with two young kids in the house and not a care in the world from this company. I will never use them again.

Called in May to schedule a cleaning for the central air system that they installed. Was given an appointment at the end of June.

The day of the appointment, I had to call to check in. I was told that a tech had called out and I would have to be rescheduled. No apology. Earliest available appointment was today, end of July.

Called them this morning to ask when to expect the technician, and was again told that a tech had called out and I would have to be rescheduled. I was not called, and am not confident that I would be called.

I understand that things happen. Techs get sick or take time off, and people have emergencies. I also understand that it's late July and I tried to make an appointment in early May. The operator I spoke to said that she is working with dispatch and management to address the large number of customers getting rescheduled more than once.

Don't give them your business. They seem to have too much to handle as it is.

The second star is because the initial install went largely well. There were some inconsistent tech attendance issues then too, and I had to call several times to get them to finish the job.

EDIT: since I got a reply - I'm not in their system because my wife made the appointment. My name being in their system shouldn't impact their ability to keep an appointment. The woman that answered the phone said this was happening to several customers. I do understand that COVID is a concern, but to wait six weeks for an appointment, then bumped for three weeks, twice, is not really acceptable. The owner is hoping that they get another chance to get good service; I don't know how many chances should be offered, but we're so far 0-2.

Bell installed my central Air System back in 2007. The past few summers it had to be charged up always loses some freon. Finally after just holding the charge for only two weeks. I decided to call Bell back to see if they could find the leak. It took over a week to get appointment which I understood. Finally tec got here looks at system and tells me that it would cost over 1,000.00 to run a test to find the leak and that it would be better to just replace the system. He got me a quote for over 8,000.00 dollars. They wanted 1/2 just to schedule appointment for install and would not have anything until mid August. I paid for the service call and called Bill's Refrigeration in Brewster. He came over and within 10 minutes found leak in outside unit. He ordered a new unit for me and a week later installed it for only a fraction of what Bell wanted. Will never use Bell again.
