I had no heat after I returned from work one day when it was 18 degrees outside. I called the after hours emergency number and was patched through to Chris who was the tech on call. Chris and Steve arrived after 11pm and despite the late hour they were professional and took the time to assess the situation and fix the problem. I am super grateful for their level of service.

Update...We did get a service refund check but we still feel like this company was trying to take advantage of us, especially a stay at home mom. 0.0 Stars!!

I have been holding off on posting this review because I was hoping they would do right by their customers. But after giving them 5 days enough is enough!

Our A/C unit stopped working and called Bell for service. We were quoted $139 for a service tech just to show up, note this price does not roll over into any repairs. After about 10 minutes into his visit, mostly just checking the voltage to the unit and never taking apart the fan, we were quoted a $700 repair for a new fan motor. The service tech said "the fan is jamming up." Whatever that means and how could he tell without taking the fan unit apart? We also believe that since my wife is a stay at home mom, we believe he thought he could get one over on her.

We told him thank you for stopping by but we are going to research some prices. After our research we learned our problem is usually resolved by simply replacing the units run capacitor. This run capacitor is easily obtained and at the high end costs $20!!! We purchased the part from a local supply company and installed ourselves w/some help from YouTube.

The unit has worked perfectly ever since!!

I called Bell to explain how the problem was solved and all I received was mumbles & grumbles from their service receptionist. I was told to send an email to their service manager and he would discuss it with me in detail.

Still no response, I was told he has no number I could use to contact him and I currently believe the email address I was given probably goes to an uncheck mail box in their system.

I am more angry about being lied to and attempting to be con'd out of additional $700 for a $20 repair.

If you have an issue, check YouTube first, just simply type in a few key words of your problem in their search line and you will learn all you need to know on how to deal with companies like Bell!

When you're in a pinch, you would think you could trust a company to tell you the truth, especially a local company. Bell is not that company.

BBB, Chamber of Commerce and Yelp complaints are also being filed.

This local company has no respect for their neighbors and their satisfaction guarantee page is useless. I would not trust one positive review from any forum related to Bell Heating and Air Conditioning.

Research Your Problem and Don't Always Trust Positive Reviews.

But definitely stay away from Bell.

George was my point of contact. He took time to listen to my concerns and recommended the appropriate services. It is a bit more expensive but they give you quality and brand-name products I am very happy I hired bell for my project and intend to hire them again

We have a Geo Thermal HVAC system. Our system crashed during the hottest part of the summer. Chris & Ethan at Bell figured out what the issues where (there were several), made the necessary repairs and even got most of the cost covered through a warranty even though our system was 10 years old and installed by another vendor.. The sales rep Dave was always available by cell phone and the workers did a really nice, clean-looking job and were quite creative and flexible in figuring out the best placement of equipment, as the house is made of stone and quite funky. They cleaned up after the job and were very punctual.

Great service, knowledgeable technicians. On time arrival and completion of the job. Installation was well done by George and helper. Excellent service. My original thermostat broke during the winter. Service technician Ethan came and replaced it promptly with the one they originally supplied. I am a former HVAC Engineer.

My AC went out and I needed it fix in a hurry. I was told they would have someone out the next day. Not only was he on time but he was a little early. Within 30 minutes my AC was back on and running great.

Bell repaired the AC during the hot spell. I had to wait for parts to arrive but when they did, the technician came at 7:30 pm and completed the work so I had a cool night's sleep. Afterwards, they helped with questions about the AC and ways to run it more efficiently.
Their office staff is well trained and very helpful.

Last week we had what I would have to say was the BEST service call from any technician that has ever called on us. Ethan was a pleasure to speak with and incredibly helpful by addressing all of my questions with intelligent and often entertaining answers. We discussed wifi thermostats, hot water heaters and ideas on how to improve the efficiency of my oil burner. Most importantly, he did a great job cleaning and servicing our boiler, changing our air filters and checking the heat pumps. We are ready for Winter!! Thank you Ethan and the entire gang at Bell including Tyler, Flo & Ruie. Brian, you have built a heck of a team. Thank you!!
