I have never had a better experience with a plumbing/HVAC company! Yvonne was amazing! She went above & beyond to assist us while working with the home warranty company! I've never had anyone so dedicated to helping their customer! Vinnie showed up to do the installation on time. He was very professional & courteous, and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend this company for your plumbing & HVAC needs! Thanks again & keep up the great work!
Terrible service. If I could leave a negative star I would. The technician came just to tighten the valve. After he left, it began to leak. The American Home Warranty called them again, another technician from the same company came, refused to change the valve and stated it was not leaking. It leaks very slowly and you have to touch it to feel the moist. Continue like this will develop a huge water damage problem. It would be easy for him to just change the valve, but he refused to and would not stay for another minute and left. Terrible attitude. I hope the AHS will not use them again.
Posting this wherever I can, to warn people to avoid. Likely cheaper to take a payout from your home warranty and find a trustworthy company, than to let them scam you along with American Homeshield.
As their reviews on BBB and Yelp can attest, they are price gouging home warranty customers, classing basic parts of replacing a water heater as code modifications and upgrades, so they can get additional money over and above what the warranty is paying. Replacing the basic pipes (15 years old) to connect the water heater to the wall was claimed to be upgrades/modifications. On service call, told me it's a $1200 job, but I "wouldn't pay anything near that amount", to be told the next day that I owed $725. I questioned these charges at every step, but it was the weekend before Thanksgiving, and I had to get the job done, didn't have time to start calling around and finding an alternative. More fool me. Found out they charged my an extra $100, just for the permit and drain pan (an actual code upgrade), a permit which they made no mention of getting a final inspection about until the home warranty company put me in touch them regarding my complaints about the overcharging. Funnily enough, they didn't even get the permit until I notified them I would be making a complaint to American Home Shield. My suspicion is they are charging warranty customers for the permit (often not included) and not actually filing it, which is why they didn't bother to mention it until I questioned it. After getting the run around, and no clear explanation about that the "upgrades/modifications" actually were, they finally refunded me $108. American Home Shield was also a waste of space, with hideous customer service, so I am canceling them. If this is the sort of scam they have running, and not willing to assist with a complaint about their assigned contractor, I have no interest in giving them a second chance. Avoid this company at all cost. Shame, their technicians seem skilled, but have to go along with the scam.
I used this company because I had and HSA home Warranty. This company replaced a water heater at my home. This review is to illustrate my experience with 2 individuals who came to my home. The first person was a technician who I felt did not treat me or my situation with the dignity, respect nor urgency, I felt was warranted. I felt that the color of my skin may have been a consideration in the manner in which he talked to me and addressed my issues. I give he and "robert" (dispatcher) a 1 but at least they showed up! The second technician Vinnie, was a professional and treated me with dignity and respect. He also apologized for the first technician that showed up. He should be elevated in your company and replace "Bob"! Thank you Vinnie for fixing my issue and your professionalism. Perhaps your company should allow you to train others!!!
We were happy with their service from a few months ago and did not hesitate to choose them again for another problem. Ray came by and got the issue taken care of quickly, plus gave us some useful info regarding our water softener. Thank you for your great customer service!
Do not use this company. Stay far Away. Manager Justin extremely unprofessional and overall just very BAD. They came out via American home shield (warranty company). They told me I needed an additional 750 dollars in work (out of pocket that home warranty would not cover). Techs get paid based on billings they submit, and a water heater replacement via home warranty company isn't very profitable for them. So they charge for everything in the world. They had a 375 dollar charge because the tech says I had a water softener which was "in the way and needed to be moved" in order to be able to install the water heater. When I told them I would move myself, they refused to remove the charge. If I had to explain the entire circumstances surrounding this all, it would take me all day. Just very bad company. Stay the heck away.
My compressor fan motor was making a very loud noise so I created a service request through AHS. I was notified that Advanced Home Services would be coming out the next day to repair/look at system. I looked at the reviews and was very concerned as there was an overwhelming amount of negative reviews listed. So Dane was the technician that was assigned to my repair and I had saw he actually had better reviews so it made me feel a little better. Once he arrived he looked at my system and told me unfortunately based off of AHS policy because the system was still working he wouldn't be able to replace the motor. Of course I became furious because it was clear the motor was going out on the unit. While we were still at the unit Dane actually noticed the motor was spinning in the wrong direction which is a problem. So after doing more diagnosing and hooking up the system correctly the fan motor wouldn't work so he was now able to replace the motor. I'm glad Dane looked into the issue a little further before leaving otherwise I would have had to wait for the motor to go out and have no AC during these 100 degree days we are still facing and pay another 100 service fee to AHS. So what I have learned through this entire process is AHS is actually scamming us customers that have warranty protection from them by not advising us that the actual piece of equipment must not be operating or working before they will cover a repair. This is why I will be leaving AHS because that policy is a scam and a problem.
[Professionalism] Jorge was very knowledgeable about my water heater replacement and was able to answer all of my questions that were asked. His timeliness was spot on! As somewhat of a new homeowner, this was my first encounter with American Home Shield and I was highly impressed from start to finish. I highly recommend Jorge for all future home repairs!! Thanks Advanced Home Services!!
I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. They called ahead and arrived soon after. I appreciate that they wear booties when walking in the house. My technician, Dave, was polite and courteous. He diagnosed the problem and was able to quickly fix it and he did so without making a huge mess. He took care to clean up all the old parts and leave my toilet closet in the same condition as he found it. He discoverd that the prior installation was done incorrectly and explained to me the way he was going to fix it rather than just doing it the wrong way again.
Jorge was great. He was on time, clean, polite and able to diagnose the issue (second opinion after another company hosed the job) correctly. Unfortunately, my home warranty company transfers the job back to the original company but if I had to have work done, I would be happy to have this company back.
