Lake Michigan Heating, Cooling, Plumbing

We woke up Saturday morning with no heat in our home with the outside temperature at 10 degrees. We called Lake Michigan heating and the had a truck here at 10:30, and the heat back on by 12:30. Communication was excellent. They came back the following week and did some recommended maintenance on the boiler so that it would be in top shape for the future. All questions were answered and the work seemed really good. Mary was our technician and she was friendly and informative.

Eli, Jake and Chris came out to install a shower drain, vanity drain and had to break up the concrete floor in the process. So far I’m extremely impressed by how professional and responsive these gentleman are. Eli has reach out to me throughout the day to update me while Jake and Chris have been working non stop to get this project done. Will be using this company and crew on future projects. Thanks ford the great experience!

Obviously we paid a premium for holiday rate, but their service was fantastic. Availability, on time arrival, a very thorough explanation of the problem and choices available to me, plus a very useful analysis on the condition of other components on my system.
Sadly I marked them down because of their failure to follow up. Based on the age of the furnace, the parts the technician identified as likely to fail next and that we were only half way through winter, I wanted a replacement system ASAP, the technician said he would come back out in a couple of days (Remember he was there on a holiday) and quote a replacement system for us, unfortunately that never happened so after seeing an ad on TV we called Jacobson, they came out and quoted the same day we called and then installed the next day

I had a backup in the wonky S trap under my drain that was clearly old and needed replacement in addition to my garbage disposal having a leak of some kind. I installed the garbage disposal myself, but Chris was able to come by and remedy my blockage.

Unfortunately for me, the piping under the sink was old and also not up to modern code, so it had to be cut out and replaced. Chris was here promptly at 8am, listened to my concerns, and recommended the piping be redone to be better and I agreed.

I only gave 4 stars to Lake Michigan Heating & Cooling to reflect the price. This was a bit on the high end for the work being done, but the business is upfront with you about their style of work and cost. If you need it quick and have the money, they are the go to for most needs. Real shoutouts to Chris and the master plumbers who ply their trade with professionalism and quality.

Have had great experience with them thus far. Friendly, supportive, and professional representation. Chris came out to relocate some plumbing for a new dishwasher. He was thorough and so helpful. Scheduling service with office staffers was also very quick and convenient.

Came to give us a quote on AC for our home. He was very informative, very detailed in looking over each room that would need ducks for the AC. Asked us for questions or concerns often. Never any pressure for a decision. We are very pleased with the time he spent with us and all the details he had for us.

What a fantastic company! Our boiler quit heating the water in our laundromat, we called and Nigel was out the next day, what a pleasant young man with a lot of knowledge! He had to order the part and got it quite fast, came and fixed it first thing in the morning. Thanks 🙏

Mary Claire was wonderful! Very friendly and very knowledgeable. She explained everything to me and then took the time to explain it again on the phone to my husband who was at work. Once we got financed, it didn’t take her anytime at all to get to work and get it finished. We will be working with this company in the future and will be asking for Mary Claire! Thank you to you all for making our Christmas warm.

The tech who came out to the house was Nigel, and he was great. He found the gas leak from my furnace within 5 minutes which is something that 3 other techs and DTE could not do (it was an inconsistent leak and took an experienced tech to find it). Thank goodness! No more gas smell! I'll be calling Lake Michigan Heating and Cooling from now on. Thanks a bunch!

The work was excellent, and everyone we met was extremely friendly and professional. I'm definitely calling back for any future work after updating out 23 year old AC unit.
