What a great experience! Jason and Jeff were friendly, competent, thoughtful & took their time to make sure our A/C was working properly. Then, we asked them to take a look at our water heater and that was no problem for them with no added fee, even though we only made the appointment for our A/C to get checked. They gave us a quote to replace it. We would specifically request Jason & Jeff to replace our water heater. After their visit, we thought, "Wow, well this was fun! It was great to meet them." Highly recommend this family-run business! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

The gentlemen from Bartlett and Steadman came out right away, seemed to have a very good idea about what was going on, before even looking at the system, and had the issue fixed within an hour. Bartlett and Steadman. I had 4 estimates of which Bartlett and Steadman was the 3rd to come on site and I immediately canceled the last Co estimate. From the very start with going over what I was looking for A/C-mini splits the ideas that were presented just made the most sense for my home. From placement of units to BTU's for each unit, the other estimates I got could not begin to compare to Bartlett and Steadman's thoughtful ideas. I was told 2 days for installation and workers were done right as said. The workers were extremely respectful of my home. I just can't say enough!

The mystery of the monster boiler in the basement… Bartlett and Steadman's own Sherlock Holmes, Jason, solved the mystery.

I just want to thank Bartlett and Steadman's boiler guru Jason for figuring out the root cause of our Burnham gas boiler problem wailing noise (a monster in the basement) that we have been experiencing for, literally, years, and cost us thousands of dollars. The boiler was installed in 2012.

Our previous plumbing company who has lots of trucks and charges a yearly membership fee, kept on coming to our house and replacing expensive parts hoping to find the problem. They sent young guys with little experience and a price book. Furthermore, the last time in November 2021 they came they charged us for a cleaning that didn't happen, or happened so poorly so it might not have happened. Picture attached. At that same time, they quoted us thousands of dollars to replace a whole part (Repair Grade 350). That was when we left them because we had already replaced the blower, the flame sensor and ignitor, and the condensate pump for thousands of dollars.

Bartlett and Steadman sent their ace, Jason, and his sidekick, Chris. They told us that he would figure it out. I gave Jason all the records of what had been serviced previously. Jason actually tuned the boiler in December (it was horribly out of tune) and we had no problems with noise for two months. He also changed the exhaust pipes outside to a new configuration that Burnham now recommends. (The correct placement of the monster paws is important or he WAILS!) Unfortunately, when Jason tried to diagnose the problem in December after they supposedly cleaned it in November, he took them at their word that they did what they said they would do. He didn't want to tear everything apart and charge us to inspect because it should have been done right the first time.

Fast forward to March when the wailing noise started to happen again. We called Bartlett and Steadman and asked for Jason. He told us he would have to open up the boiler this time. We agreed. We just wanted it fixed.

He found that the boiler had not been cleaned and the part that allowed the mix had holes in it! (Pictures attached.) Of COURSE it was going to make horrible noises eventually if the mixture had air in it!

Bottom line, don't go for lots of white and red trucks with a big customer service center. They need the customer service center to deal with the problems that don't get fixed. Go with the local company that cares. We have found that with Bartlett and Steadman who has their own Sherlock Holmes… who cares.
