Great customer & delivery service! When I was stuck and needed emergency delivery, they were the only company who could help me without any hesitation or delay and was here within the hour.
Was dealing with my husband in the hospital in critical condition from covid 19 when he finally came home realized that I never got oil and had less then an 1/8th of a tank with a very sick husband on oxygen, Townsend Oil was the only one who would come out right away with a delivery. They were superior to deal with and very sympathetic to my situation and I have been with them ever since and they still are superior to work with.
Townsend Oil have my 5 stars!

Our furnace broke down on a Saturday & we tried to resolve the problem on our own to no avail. Called for service Sunday evening & was told we were being placed on an emergency basis. Called again Monday morning to learn we were never put on the list. Called a couple of hours later and learned a tech would be by in the next hour or so.

The tech arrived and was very knowledgeable with our old system and recommended we look into a new system after he got it up & running. Tech was professional and friendly and followed through with having someone contact us to discuss our options. It's a holiday weekend so we will follow up in the coming week re our options.

We had our hot water heater go a few weeks before our 2nd child was born and Townsend stepped up in a big way. They helped us get the equipment, get it installed, and even came back to make sure we were all set and the installation was successful. Recently, they mistakenly missed a delivery and we were out of propane. They had someone out right away and apologized for the oversight. Their humanity is always appreciated!

I contacted Customer Service after noticing a spike (not related to recent increasing fuel prices) in my monthly billing statement. I worked with Service Rep Sara.

She discovered I was changed to a monthly fixed-rate billing cycle which didn't accurately reflect my usage. More importantly, she noticed I never locked in my propane rate so I was paying $1.20 more-per-gallon than the current market rate.

She explained the monthly billing cycle which I ultimately approved because it provided an additional discount and when our conversation was over, my monthly rate was lowered by 25%.

I'll conclude by acknowledging how my phone-call was picked up on the fourth ring, no time was lost to holding or a need to transfer me and I could easily understand Sara as she could understand me.

I recommend Townsend Energy as a source for your localfuel and heating needs.

I've been a Townsend oil customer for three years. During that time, I've been on the automatic delivery program & have not had any problems getting oil delivered for the furnace. I hope that still keeps up this winter, despite the low oil inventory here in the Northeast. Towsend has also annually cleaned & tuned up my furnace since I became a customer. I've not experienced any problems with the work that was done, including the installation of a new oil tank December 2021. In a nutshell, I have no complaints.

Do not use these people! They are expensive and predatory. They were told that I switched to another company and they continued to deliver oil at a price I could not afford. The half of my delivery paid by fuel assistance was at one price and the other half was at a higher price, a new and predatory policy, which had not existed for multiple previous years. I called to cancel, was ignored, and could do nothing as the oil was in the tank. In addition, for at least 3 years, they cleaned my furnace and the next day my furnace didn't work. The fix was hundreds of dollars in addition to the cleaning. In order to post this, I had to pick a star...they deserve none.

Townsend can be counted on when you need them most. This Summer my AC went down in the middle of a heatwave. Townsend was at my door at 8:00AM. They had to replace a burnt out motor in my air handler. In the attic. Which was well over 100 degrees. They found and retrieved a new motor and had me back up and running by 4:00. The same day. And the air handler runs quieter and better than ever. Winter or Summer Townsend keeps our home running.
