Love this company!! They came out to help re-route all of my floor ducting work in a kitchen remodel. They did an exceptional job at a very reasonable price. The team walked me through my oil burning furnace while they were servicing it. I learned so much!

The technician, Taylor, was very responsive to the information I provided, and was able to fixed my issue within 30 minutes. I had previously had a different company come out on three separate occasions, and they were unable to diagnose or fix the problem. I am very satisfied with Barstow & Sons, and I will be using them in the future. Thank you!

I submitted a ticket for service Friday, but called Monday to schedule a service. Was able to get in the same say due to a cancellation. I was able to check the status of my tech via tracker. My tech assessed the issue in less than 2 mins and knew what the issue was. Not only did he fix it, he also showed me what to do in case it happened again. He also provided additional information as to how keep my a.c. waterline clear by taking proactive steps to break down the sediments. He was great!! He even told me how many pounds of refrigerant I would need in the event of leaked. Great experience!!

DISSATISFIED: We have American Home Shield for our home warranty company. They scheduled Barstow and Sons for our HVAC issue. The technician reported to our warranty company that we needed to replace the air handler. It would be around $2000. The technician also reported that it was due to “lack of maintenance” . Because of “lack of maintenance” our warranty company WILL NOT honor our contract. What is upsetting is that the technician told my husband and I that HVAC units only last around 10-15 years. Ours was installed in 1992 and is 28 years old. So how are we negligent if we have “maintained” for so long? Thanks Barstow and Sons. We WILL NOT be using your services as we decided to replace the entire unit. We have found another company to use.

The prices that this company charges for supplies is outrageous. They did fall and spring maintenance on our unit, and both times found broken parts that they needed to replace. Both times, this required them to refill the freon. In the fall repair, the freon cost us ~$60/lb (average), in the spring repair, the freon would've cost us a whooping $120/lb! Never mind that this charge is on top of the cost of the check, the part, the warranty fee, and the repair. I wound up calling another company, who, even with a $100 fee to check the system, cost us $500 less AND gave us a temporary fix so that we could have AC while we waited for the part to come in. I strongly recommend a less shady business (our HVAC was working FINE both times before Barstow came out to give it a once over... smh).

Barstow & Sons Heating and Cooling was recommended to me after experiencing feedback from three independent HVAC technicians--each providing different reports on what was wrong with my heat pump, exorbitant costs, etc. My unit was old but based on the varying feedback and not wanting to throw good money after potentially bad, I decided to replace the system. J in the front office patiently listened to my tales of woe and promptly set things in motion to take care of my heat pump needs. I was able to take pics of my inside unit and my outside unit with some additional details, forward this information, and within 24 hours was sent a proposal that included 4 options. Once an option was chosen, CE came out and conducted a site visit to make the future install as smooth a process as possible. Gave me information detailing what to expect as well as my responsibilities to ensure that the crew had easy access to the work areas. The crew was prompt, prepared, personable, and professional. S, L, and N you rock!! Took time to address any questions or concerns that I had and let me know that if I had any questions to just reach out. In addition, they left my house spotless.

The technician arrived on time, before arriving I received noticed that he was on his way. The work was of excellent quality, technician was knowledgeable, polite , and cleaned up after his work. I would highly recommend this company for any HVAC work.

Greg and Ben replaced my entire HVAC Unit and ducts. They got to my residence promptly, and got the job done fast. They even put everything back the way it was in the utility service. Very professional, very courteous, and very efficient. This is a good company.

I had Sila heating & air come to diagnose my unit, and after charging me $100 for a diagnostic fee, they told me that it would cost $4000-$4500 to fix it. Though I admit some ignorance in this field, I'm not quite that stupid. I said farewell, and called Barstow & Sons. They sent their mechanic Greg out to my place, and he quickly fixed my unit with a clear explanation of the repair for $224. That's roughly one twentieth of the cost others provided. Greg is a man of integrity, and I will recommend him to anyone with similar needs.

Barstow & Sons replaced our HVAC system. Their price was the best quote, but we had to schedule out a couple of weeks. Installers very professional and clean.
