Barstow & Sons Heating and Cooling

Twice in one month, during the heat of summer, our A/C went out. Both times it was on a weekend. We called several repair companies but Barstow was the only one to call us back. Both times, within an hour someone was at our house fixing our issue.

The service techs were very polite and knowledgeable. They even offered tips for better system maintenance.

We'll be calling Barstow with our HVAC needs from now on.

EDIT: Seems like we're having a but of bad luck with our HVAC. Fortunately, again, we called Barstow and they were at the house within hours. We've had 3 techs at the house to make some minor repairs and they've all been polite and knowledgeable.

I have provided “excellent” reviews of this company before when they initially installed my 2 new heat pump systems 2 years ago.one a 4 ton central heat pump for the main floor and a mini split system for upstairs. Today The lead technician Ben and his assistant Tayler came in and did a superb job of reinstalling a new 4 ton system since there was a glitch in the previous system. I really value their professionalism and quality of work. This is a company that stands behind their products and work. Jennifer, the business manager goes the extra mile to make things happen and coordinate projects to the customers utmost satisfaction. Thank you all.

I don't write many reviews on contractors, but I felt compelled to write one on Barstow and Sons and did a similar review on yelp. I bid out a job to upgrade my home with a new duel fuel 5T heat pump and gas furnace. The installation was complicated, requiring relocating the outside unit as well as replacing all the attic equipment & installing in a new location with new duct work, vents, etc. And in spaces that were very tight. I had many quotes, but settled on Barstow. This company is big enough to have lot's of capability but small enough to still be personable. Chuck Eaton, the owner, stayed personally involved from start to finish. He made suggestions as the job progressed and kept in excellent communication with myself and my wife. His pricing was very competitive and he even managed to obtain improved an extended component warranty from Lennox on my equipment. His crew was on time, everytime. They were courteous, protected everything and completely cleaned up after themselves. The job was completed in a few days. Both my wife and I are picky and we couldn't think of one thing that we were not happy with. These guys really did walk the talk and I'd be glad to show anyone the quality of their work. Thanks Joe. Steven, the technician who repaired our a/c was very professional and prompt. He even recommended the installation of a second thermostat on the third floor and what to do to make the a/c better. Superb customer service !

We recently set up an annual maintenance plan with Barstow for our Lennox HVAC system. On our initial maintenance service, Austin, the tech, arrived on time, was professional and explained our system to us. Unfortunately, he forgot to power up our Heat pump. We discovered the error several hours later when we returned to our house. The temperature on the thermostat was 80 degrees and it was Friday at 4:45 pm. Yikes. We called the Barstow hotline and Daniel, the tech, arrived at our house in less than half an hour. He fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes. Had there been no problem I would have given Barstow a 5. Nonetheless, I was extremely pleased with the company's responsiveness.

The installation of our Carrier unit went very smooth. The technicians were very professional and efficient. They worked in the attic with 100 degree weather and did not complain. Very happy with their work.

Barstow and Sons are kind and considerate Professionals. They came out and resolved the problem that another furnace contractor caused..which could have resulted in my home burning down(I smelled something burning but had no clue the danger I was in😫). If you have furnace problems trust Barstow and Sons for caring Professional service..even if you have to wait a day, they are worth the wait. They get it right with a sense of urgency and respect!
