    We were very impressed with the knowledge, professionalism and thorough service that we received. Scott, the technician, wore a mask and foot coverings when entering the house since we are being very careful about taking Covid 19 precautions. The company takes additional precautions as well which we appreciate. Previously we had hired another company to check, clean and maintain our 2 air conditioners since 2017. The other company would add freon to one of the air conditioners and quickly 'clean' the units. It's obvious that this other company didn't do a good job. Scott discovered that the filters had not been changed since 2017 since we had hired the other contractors because my Dad had marked the date on them. He thoroughly cleaned the air conditioner and replaced the filters and now the air conditioner works great! The price was good- I called several companies to compare-- and Scotts knowledge and integrity was impressive. Despite an avalanche of air conditioning crises, Monica from the office managed to work with us and find a mutual time we could schedule these visits. Highly recommend them!

    PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY:

    The GM (Joe) was excellent during the first visit to inspect 1 of my 3 furnaces, which was the sole purpose of his visit. A technician was sent out shortly after - honestly, he was great on-site and ran through a lot of options with me for replacement furnaces. HOWEVER, he immediately started the 'service contract' work ($600) without any approval from me on the remaining 2 furnaces (which were fine). After explaining the 'benefits' of it, I was OK with him going forward with this work, even though the sole purpose of the visit was to inspect the broken furnace. The technician also told me (numerous times) that going on their service plan gets me 15% off of replacement furnaces (which would basically offset the cost of their service contract plan).

    A few days after the technician visit, I had a lot of back-and-forth (probably 3-4 phone calls) with the receptionist, who said that they don't offer discounts like this so she would need approval. She talked to the technician and he claimed to have 'no recollection' of offering 15% off the new furnace (which I later found out was WAY over-priced!) They later offered me 10% off, so I started shopping other options (mainly because I was upset that they were going back on their word).

    I would highly advise anyone reading this to contact another company. A company that I was extremely impressed with is AFC, and they are about 40% less-expensive on the same exact furnaces! The sad part is I am a pretty easy sell (I'm in sales myself and tend to choose 'quality' over 'cost'). Had OP Heating and Cooling just put the slightest effort to follow-up with me (as promised) and honored what I was told during the last visit, I probably would have been locked in as a long-term customer. It has been over a week and the receptionist has yet to call me back, which is why I felt inspired to write something up about my experience. I hope your team at OP Heating and Cooling learns a lesson from this experience!

    Not recommended. Waste of my time and money.

    We were having trouble with our Central Air Conditioner freezing up and not cooling adequately. I scheduled Overland Park Heating and Cooling to come out to attempt repair. The technician spent around 2 hours at my home and was not able to pinpoint the issue. We were charged about $240 and were advised it was likely time for a new AC unit, with an upper ballpark estimate around $6000. I have never been contacted again about estimates for a new AC, even after calling in again.

    Wanting a second opinion, I called another company. Within about 30 minutes, the tech determined that the issue was simply a buildup of dust and debris inside the evaporator coil, something the technician from Overland Park Heating and Cooling had apparently never checked. He cleaned the layer of dust and debris out as well as verifying refrigerant levels, etc and the AC unit began working properly immediately and has been great ever since.

    I have since called Overland Park Heating and Cooling two times to speak with a service manager about my experience, but have never had my call returned. Will never use or recommend again.

    We had to buy a new system a little over a year ago and have been thrilled about the customer service and sales service through OP heating and cooling. I had many companies come out for quotes and chose OP heating and cooling because they were very professional and spent time teaching me about all my options. The Sales rep (Derek) and the service tech (Don) have been very helpful. We appreciate that they are honest, on time, and efficient. This is a wonderful company and very happy to have them taking care of our HVAC system. Highly recommend this company!!

    Unfortunately, my AC went out and I had to call a repair service. From my first contact with Marsha who took my call, then to Don who promptly came out and thoroughly inspected and found the problem, to Brendan who came the next day and worked with me on purchasing a new unit; they all were great people to work with. No one wants to spend thousands of dollars for repairs but at least when the service and care you receive is top notch you feel like you've been taken care of. Thanks and great job with customer satisfaction.

    Knowledgeable and friendly staff. They respond quickly and take the time to educate while they problem solve. I called several places recently, on a Saturday around noon. None responded except OPH&C. Pricing was fair, and they took the time to do some preventative work and teach us how to keep our AC/heat pump running better, longer.

    I bought a system from OP Heating and Cooling over 15 years ago. The guys who have done PM's since then have always been great to work with. I added a humidifier 7 years ago too. They respond very quickly if there is an issue and they work around my schedule to get to my place.
