Golden Rule Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical

One of the highest trip charges in the city and I hope there's no one charging more for plumbing work. They wanted $850 to change out an exposed shower mixing valve. It's an hour to two hour job and very little materials involved. So maybe it's as little as $400 an hour labor, yikes. This is NOT inflation, despite what a tech might tell you. It's opportunistic price gouging. You're paying for advertising, pretty trucks and a ridiculous call answering system. After this experience and taking into consideration the other marketing tactics they are using, a lot of these reviews on google look pretty suspicious.

UPDATE: Just had the work done by Thrasher Services for less than HALF of what Golden Rule wanted.

Monte came to help us figure out how to re-install our garbage disposal after we installed a new, single drain sink. He is a very knowledgeable, polite young man and he did a great job for us. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting him and working with him!

Lee did a fantastic job, super professional and easy to talk to. I love that the yearly plan includes an electrical check-up!
Update 6/22 - plumbing check up, Heath did a fantastic job and found that the sump pump had not been working for some time, a fact that my previous HVAC provider had not noticed during their yearly inspection. He was clear and concise about my options and took great care of my home during the install. Highly recommend!

Fred was amazing, friendly and professional. He explained everything ever step of the way from start to finish! Would definitely recommend him for any ac repair needed! Did an outstanding job to get my AC up and running!

Called first thing in the morning to see about getting plumbing setup for installing an irrigation system. Came out two hours later, quoted me about $100 more than competitors but they could do the job same day compared to 3-4 weeks out. Had the job done, had a walk through with the installer found one leak and he quickly fixed it. Overall, great customer service!

Start by saying I’ve heard of golden rule from my neighbor but never knew how excellent they were. This repair may have seemed small for most, but for a family that had no running water due to the repair not ideal. At the time I was not a golden member but they treated me like one that morning. I called the office at 7:30. I spoke with two ladies because I drop first call by mistake both were fantastic and wanted to help. Then I had two tech at my house by 9:00am that morning. What an amazing thing. They got it fix quickly no issues and were professionally from start to finish. My background is retail customer service for over 10 years and I was impressed, also I have high standards. Thank you so much and I’m proud to say I’m golden member now.

Cody was great. Explained things well. Even helped us put our air conditioner panels back on that we had removed to clean out cottonwood! Very personal and polite.

Henry and his crew were all very professional to work with. I got in touch Henry for a semi-urgent leak repair and he found a few critical issues that would have cost my family our home for several days or weeks had I found those issues the hard way.

The bidding process was very informative and I knew all my options up front. No sneaky add on costs or anything were introduced and the whole experience felt very fair and professional.

They were in and out in one day and it’s like they weren’t even here it’s so clean after they left. All the repairs went flawlessly and Henry did a great job walking through everything at the end so I knew we got what we paid for.

10/10 I’ll definitely be calling these guys again for any future plumbing work I need done.
