I hired Mr. Duct 6 months ago for dryer duct cleaning and they serviced the vent hose, which I felt was a good job. The last week in October, I noticed that the vent hose has a slit in it which is where aluminum tape covers that area. The hose has also become unattached at the top near the ceiling. When I contacted Mr Duct and explained the situation, I was told it will be a new charge and I needed a new cleaning even though I was told cleanings are recommended every 6-12 months. I told the representative I did not need a cleaning and they were the last one to service my dryer vent. All I got was we don't know why it would have come detached and suggested something may have knocked it loose. Avoiding responsibility. The representative did not offer to send someone to take a look at their workmanship to determine if their work was faulty but instead to send someone out to give me an estimate. I believe they need to come an inspect their work without the back and forth.
Update 11/5/21 After my request to speak to a manager, Mr. Tom, a manager called me promptly to address my concerns. Very professional. He explained thoroughly why there would be a charge ( basically to avoid any liability by not reinspecting), which I understood. My main frustration is that with in six months, I have an issue that I felt should not have happened. I initially gave 3 stars and bumped it up to 4. If I could rate Mr. Tom, he would get 5 stars for for his service.
First time having the service done and I was and am very pleased! Extremely professional and friendly too! With the best price around You get what you pay for and Mr Duct knows how to get the job done. I will for sure be using them again and passing along their info to others
After getting the run around from a Groupon scam company, I put off getting my air ducts cleaned for years. Finally saw Mr Duct servicing several homes in my area. Gave a call and the price was legit, no scams. Great work. I recommend this company.
They did quote me the best prices around. However, they lied and told me they would do both the duct cleaning and dryer event. After asking about the dryer event, the office manager claimed that they are not allowed to do this because of their equipment could break something?? Techs didn't mention a thing? I requested some sort of credit/refund for skipping this as I will need to hire another vendor to complete. The office manager insisted that this was not charged. I showed her the text message offer which included "both services for $445". She still insisted that this was not part of the deal and all $445 went only to the duct cleaning. Very deceiving...
Mr Duct came to me as a recommendation from a friend of the family. They did a great job with our dryer vent cleaning. The price was fair - though a bit more than other quotes, but still not out of line - and their work was efficient and complete. They were on-time, courteous, cleaned up everything after the service, and did a great job. I will definitely use them again for dryer vent cleaning and in the future for air vent cleaning. Highly recommend!
I made an appointment to have my ducts cleaned and my dryer vent unplugged and a bird cover installed. I requested day of service that I be texted when they were on their way. I received both a text and a voice mail message. It was nice to see them doing what I had requested. Both technicians Manny and Carlos arrived on time. I was most concerned about the bird nest in the dryer vent. Carlos was able to loosen the nest after numerous proddings into the vent to break it up. He did a great job of cleaning that hot mess out. And did I mention the poor guy had to go 20 feet in the air to reach the vent. I later found out he'd only been with the company for a month. Never would have guessed it. In the meantime, Manny worked to get the other vents cleaned. Both of them worked well together and if Carlos had a question, Manny told him how to do it in a good, professional teaching manner. I can tell by the furnace sounds that the air movement is much better. And my dryer runs like a charm! I definitely will use them again.

Day of service techs, Devin and Omar came out, they were nice at first then as the service went on their attitude began to change. They weren't wearing shoe covers half the time in my home, they were banging things, ladder hitting my walls, almost breaking my screen that goes in my window, etc.
Once it was time to clean my dry vent, Devin informed me there would be an extra charge of 220, due to my vent being on the roof, took me by surprise because I originally told them before I even scheduled my appt where everything was and they gave me pricing on it.
Once everything was done my partner and I looked in the laundry room to make sure everything was good and we noticed the dryer was push forward and we could barely open the door, there were scratch marks all on the side of the dryer as well as on top, there was damage to the lid of my washer and my dryer vent was damaged. I called the company back letting them know what happened and they sent the techs back. Only Devin came in the house to "repair" what was damaged. He claims he didn't know how any of the damaged got on my washer and dryer. I explain to him what happened and he refused to believe that this happened while they were working. Keep in mind I haven't had the washer and dryer for a full 2 weeks.
I had to call the company 3 times for them to send techs back to fix things and each time Devin came back his attitude got worst towards us. I called the manager, Tom Oplawski, to see what they would do about the scratches/ damages to my appliances and they said we needed to find someone to give us an estimate. Took me and my partner by surprise because why do we need to go out our way to get an estimate due to the lack of common sense of their techs. (Our laundry room is not the biggest so why not remove the washer so you don't damage anything)
The manager began to get angry, unsympathetic, and refuse to take responsibility for his techs actions. He offer to only give us $100 back from the service. We denied then he offer to give us a full refund but that doesn't cover what I paid for my appliances..
Moral of the story DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, PAY MORE MONEY FOR BETTER SERVICE
WOW! Excellent service! Marco and Fernando were outstanding in understanding my concerns regarding my awful ventilation system and went to work restoring clean air throughout my entire home with earnest enthusiasm as they displayed integrity and encouragement in the process. They provided pictures before and after of their efforts and details of work done. It’s only been 4 hours since completion so, of course, the next week will be crucial; but, Mr. Duct was referred by a friend and this experience definitely seems to be a good one.
