My furnace stopped working this morning. -2 degrees outside and 52 degrees in my house. I called G and R to come assess the issue. They were prompt and professional. However, I was shocked with the pricing they provided to get my furnace up and running. They needed to replace a part that I was able to find online for $175. I was able to remove the old part and install the new part in under 35 minutes (I have no background in HVAC). They wanted to charge me $1500 plus $125 for the initial inspection. I’m happy to pay for the diagnosis, but this was plainly price gouging. In my opinion, it was taking advantage of a situation where many families don’t have an option other to pay the drastically inflated pricing.
Electric furnace wasn’t working…called them and they were at our house within 4 hours. Fixed the wire that was disconnected and repaired. Very polite, professional and overall experience was great! Marco was great! Thank you! Recommend them completely.
Adam and partner were on time, efficient, considerate, and really knew their products. They totally replaced 2 heating and AC systems, and we hardly knew they were here! Very happy with end product. Ask for Adam!
Used this company via a Home Warranty in December 2022. My deductible was $75. They overbilled me by $155. Had to call them and the warranty company to straighten things out. Now I see a pending charge on my credit card for on-line purchase of $165. I'll have to call them again Monday because I have not used them since that December service. I don't trust this company at all. Thinking of calling the County States Attorney for some direction. This is just wrong. G&R is blaming Universal Home Protection Warranty for this mishap. UHP said they had discussions with G&R about this matter and no information of mine was sent to G&R. from UHP. It is very suspect that G&R would have my info attached to another client with a different name and a different address. The receipt would have had to be authorized by the other client and signed showing a different name and address than mine. G&R apparently cannot keep track of who they are servicing nor keep their books correct and protect consumer info. My credit card was compromised by G&R and my credit card account had to be shut down. Waiting for new cards.
Marco, from G&R Heating & Air , provided amazing and professional service when he came out to get our furnace serviced. He was on time and he kept us aware of how things were going and what was going on while he was working. Pricing was fair and reasonable. We contacted G&R that morning and they fit us in, and came out the same day in the morning.
Ricardo was excellent at explaining what he doing. There were multiple avenues of troubleshooting needed, he worked through them patiently. Great work!
This was our first time using G&R and we are thankful we chose them! I received a text about 20 minutes prior to the workers arrival. It had his name (Marco), a photo of him, and a fun fact about him! The heads up was perfect as I have a little one at home. Marco was communicative, swift, and understanding of my nosey dogs! We will definitely use them again if we have future HVAC needs!
Craig was very helpful - took the time to explain everything- pointed some things around the house to be watchful of - proper use of air conditioner and so forth. Left us with a good feeling about the service
