I wrote a complaint on my property management and they were very efficient in contacting them and having my complaint answered.

I purchased a money order from the PLS STORE located at 2507 W 95th st, Evergreen Park IL. On 11/30/21, and learned on 2/1/22 the money order never arrived to it's location. I returned to the store on 2/5/22 at which time THOMAS the manager started a stop payment form. Actually he was working a window and back n forth training a young lady at another one. I paid my $15 and they took my license and the young lady completed the form while getting instructions from THOMAS. On the 2/10/22 I contacted the customer service number to check status of my stop payment. Was told go back to the store. I did and they find the paperwork in a bin. That Thomas never processed. Fast forward to 2/21/22 told check was mailed, call back on 2/28/22 told check was mailed on the 28th. Call on 3/3/22 told checks only go out on a Wednesday. So why was I lied to on the 2/21/22 & 2/28/22. Because both those dates are Mondays. Called 3/10/22 check was mailed out on the 3/3/22. Just called today told it's being processed. This is so frustrating. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PPL AGAIN

I'm writing for my boss cause i doubt he would and for every other small business out there!! $696.00 to renew a certificate of Accreditation?!? That's theft. Maybe once a year someone calls in a says they found us off the BBB website, and no way this customer spends $696.00. It's literally just a piece of paper if not a digital copy and i'm sure he's gonna end up paying it. IDK

So it's amazing companies with several negative reviews can still have A+ ratings why is this. well I can tell you because companies that pay money to be members of the BBB get the A+ RATINGS. proving that BBB is as big of a scam as some of the companies that are the members. the BBB was supposed to protect consumers well they really protect the scam business. I filed a complaint today with them for BAS Insurance a company that robo calls, ignores the do not call list calls you after you have asked them to remove you number. and within a hour the bbb closed the compliant because they don't see there doing anything wrong. no wonder these companies break the law do robo calls ect. when safe gards like the BBB don't care who dose.

I highly recommend you visit the BBB website and file formal complaints against any business that treats you like you don’t matter.

The BBB will sort it out for you, whether it leads to compensation or simply keeping a record.

Do your part to make your community better by giving credit where credit is due, and correction where correction is due.

Please do try to sort it out with the business owner first, in a calm, reasonable way. (Try to avoid management bc it’s likely their fault in first place and they don’t need to know you’re upset—go straight to the boss quietly).

Don’t be a “Karen”—be a Jaren. A Jaren is a Jacqueline-Karen, a person who sees bad things happening, keeps her cool, and reasonably and calmly reports the issue to the powers that be without creating a scene and ruining the day of everyone around her.

And by the way, everyone I know who is truly named Karen is a total sweetheart.

Don’t be a “Karen.” Be a Jaren.

The BBB will let a customer's client leave negative complaints but will not allow the customer to change the complaint once it is resolved by the business and its customers. There is no point for a business to associate themselves with the BBB if their business listing is just going to suffer and not grow. Google reviews can be changed very easily along with other sites by the reviewer or complainer. BBB is useless and hurtful for businesses. There's no reason to pay them a membership fee just so a business can look bad.

Called them about a company that is skimming money off the top of it drivers. Message said they would call back within 24 hrs. Never heard anything from them. Wonder way companies in Chicago can do this to it employees.

Filing a complaint with BBB was so easy -- just complete the form and sit back and wait! I really felt that having the BBB involved helped me get my refund. The company I filed a complaint with originally wanted to just give me a store credit, but since that required having to buy something else from them, I chose to stick to my guns and enlisted BBB's assistance. I think even non-accredited businesses place some value on BBB in that customers trust the information that they provide, so they don't just disregard them when they get involved in a dispute. These days, customers need all the help they can get when it comes to dealing with businesses!

I didn't know what to do when my company hit a brick wall communicating with another company. The company ended our contract for services prematurely and never provided us with a final account reconciliation or refund. We had sent email after email, certified letter and voice mails with no response. That's when I involved BBB. They remain impartial, and give the other company a chance to respond to a complaint. In our case, fortunately, the company responded within a week, issued an apology and refund. I am confident we would NOT have had these same results without turning to BBB. If the company had not responded and resolved the complaint, I still would have been grateful, that through BBB, I could get a message to other potential customers regarding my negative customer service experience.
