Capital City Heating & Cooling

Capital City is the company to call if your having troubles with your a.c.unit. They came out recharged the unit and explained everything to me, and answered all my questions. The first company I called came out and told me that I needed a new a.c. for $ 4000. Not much information or communication, sad way to run a business, granted the service tech has probably been ran to death this whole month of June, and we have a long way to go. Thank-you Capital City.

I was thrilled with the service I received at Capital City. The owner himself serviced our home and thoroughly examined our furnace after we suspected dishonesty from A1 whom we have been a loyal customer of for over four years. I called 5 other companies for bids but ultimately decided to go with Capital City as the company clearly cared for the comfort and safety of my family over the sale that would benefit his company. Capital City has won my loyalty for years to come. I am so grateful to have called them for an estimate!

We had Roger come over on one of the hottest weeks in July and he was AMAZING! He stayed late until the problem was fixed and the price was very reasonable. Great service and prices, would highly recommend for all issues AC.

Definitely do not recommend this company. Nothing but run around on when they are supposed to be here. Didn't show up two weeks in a row. The owner and manager have no idea how to problem solve and just argue on the phone. We have now been without heat for 3 weeks and are extremely dissatisfied with their service. Unfortunately this is a company provides by our property manager so we have no other option. After the service was finally completed they left without letting us know, left our crawlspace open, tape left on the floor and dirt tracked in unswept. Highly recommend someone else.

Our A/C went out in the middle of a heat wave IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. We called a few other places around midnight and Roger at Capital City not only offered to come RIGHT AWAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, but they also came back 4 times to fix our AC Unit that same day. They charged me $65 dollars! Can you believe it? Best service ever!

Thus far I've had Capital City Heating and Cooling visit my home on two separate occasions: furnace annual service, A/C annual service. To date I've dealt with Jenny (owner), Erika (dispatcher), David (furnace technician), and Sean (A/C technician). Extremely impressed relative to other local heating and air companies I've dealt with who apparently are tasked to charge and sell something at every visit regardless of justification. My impression is Capital City Heating and Cooling is very ethical and honest, genuinely enjoy their jobs and company they work for so therefor are extremely polite and pleasurable to deal with, no high pressure sales from above, can can be counted on for a fair analysis, owners are very interested in customer feedback and I sincerely believe they'd react accordingly if warranted. One example is my furnace start capacitor is metering marginal to spec, instead of replacing they're simply monitoring at each visit for no charge.

Communication is a breeze and reliable via email or phone, your choice. For the first visit I had to reschedule with only a couple day notice, they were completely understanding, asked no questions, made the entire process painless, and were able to fit me into their schedule the very following day. They were 15 mins late for the second visit but called and politely gave advanced notice so the entire situation was reasonable.

1. If you want full on customer service / attention / communication then you 'MUST' use these folks. Their customer service in any industry is 'EXCEPTIONAL'. Our family worked with 5+ employees on our unique issue and they were all exceptional!

2. My engagement had several unique turns, end result i was getting excessive moisture in my supply duct from cooling fins on radiator. As it built up during heat of winter it would leak out of duct and into my basement. This all after owning home for 15+ years. I am told very unique issue.

3. Initial troubleshooting thought to be whole new unit which was painful at $1800, but we went ahead with it. As result did not fix the problem.

4. They did not give up on it and continued to work with us and finally (I am paraphrasing here) adjusted the coolant load and saturation temperature along with some adjustments on how our blower would cycle/timing. After 2+ weeks and counting this was solution as we have had no water.

5. Being that radiator unit in duct works was not original cost they sent me back a check!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Un-heard of in any homeowner industry/service. Remarkable!!!!!

I called at 6am on a Sunday and was already the second call of the day. Jim arrived promptly, was efficient, informative, patient with my questions, and was all around friendly and an interesting person to talk to. He also spoke positively about his boss's knowledge and success , which I take as a very good sign about this company. I will definitely have Capital City back next time I need HVAC work.

They really are a great company. I have a warranty company and they had no contractors available. I was allowed to have my own company come out and assess the situation. Capital City came out and worked extremely hard to try to get my air conditioner to work. He gave me a diagnosis and called my home warranty company to give them the information knowing that he was not going to get paid for doing any work. He worked for almost 1.5 hours and replaced several parts called the warranty company for me and he charged me literally nothing. You really dont find that kind of service anymore. Because of Capital City Cooling I was able to get the warranty company to replace the air conditioner on my home.
