A big thanks to Brandon and Don for installing a 18K Daiken mini-split in our 3 car/1000 sq ft garage. Oh, on one of the hottest days of the year.
Our job estimator Rob was great, gave us a good price and was easy to communicate with. I started with a bid request on Yelp and they responded within 1/2 hr. Thanks guys!

I recently had to have the cooling portion of my forced air system replaced. I called Capital City Heating and Cooling around midnight on a Friday night. After talking to the sales person about my current system and what had happened I had one of two choices, repair or replace. I did not feel forced to do one or the other. After electing to replace the system I was given an all-inclusive quote for what it would cost. This quote was below others that I had previously received for replacement from other companies. I was scheduled for an install the next day.
The next morning the install crew arrived and removed and replaced my compressor, cooling coil, supply/return lines and new refrigerant. I found the crew impressive for several reasons. My home has almost no crawl space, covered in brick, and the furnace sits in a small area in the middle of the house. None of these caused complaint from the technicians.
Having spent time under my own house, as well as being a service technician previously, and with knowledge from being in the construction process I was impressed with the technician’s themselves. They were honest, friendly, efficient, thorough and knowledgeable. Most importantly, the only trace of them having been to my house was that I had fixed air conditioning and a new compressor that no longer mimicked a jet trying to take off.

Dependable and friendly.

We scheduled an A/C service, and leaky furnace inspection, call last week. Mark arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the leak as an improper furnace installation which they installed it last July. It had something to do with the primary drain not be level and no secondary drain being installed. He jerry-rigged a quick fix until the office could schedule a followup visit to correct the issue. I haven't received a call yet, but I guess we'll see if they call after the spring rush is over.

I appreciate Mark's honesty and professionalism on this issue. And up to this point, I would gladly recommend them. Mark is great!

UPDATE: Shortly after this review was posted Capitol City H&C called to schedule an appointment. Their guys came out to fix the issue which took them about an hour. Since then, the A/C has been working great. Thanks guys!

We just had our HVAC system (Heating & Air) replaced by Capital City Heating & Air and could not be happier. So I don't bury the headline...we got 4 other quotes from reputable local companies that were ALL $7,000 - $10,000 more than Capital City's estimate. But saving money is not the whole story...I actually got MORE than I paid for.

I basically got frustrated with the estimates and sales pitches of the "big guys"...and I searched Yelp and found Capital City Heating & Cooling with great reviews, so I called for an estimate. The woman in the office was professional and friendly and scheduled an appointment for the next day for Michael the owner to come out. He showed up and spent time inspecting our current system before making any suggestions and finally giving me an estimate for a brand new, high efficiency Amana system. Michael was no B.S. and very down to earth...gave clear explanation of the benefits of the system and did not try and up sell me. Michael, actually installed a better system (more efficient) than on his estimate at the original price. The estimate includes 2 follow up service calls over the next year.

After reviewing his estimate we called back and scheduled an installation appointment. They had a cancellation prior to our appointment and actually the crew showed up early than planned and were very professional and efficient. The installation took a little bit longer than anticipated, but they cleaned up and did a great job. The digital thermostat was on order and they came back a few days later to install that. The building inspector came and the system passed inspection without a problem.

Michael believes in a fair price for a fair deal...and over delivers on that promise. I can give Michael & Capital City Heating & Air my highest possible recommendation. It is clear to see why they have such great reviews on Yelp. Thank you to Michael and the entire company.

Capital City has taken great care of me. They've worked on both my AC and my furnace. They're prices are fair and their service is fantastic! I would absolutely recommend calling them when you have heating or air conditioning problems.

A/C compressor stopped working and house got up to 90 degrees.

Great service! I would highly recommend their company if you have any issues with your HVAC (heating ventilation air conditioning) system. I requested a quote via Yelp and they responded within the hour. I called to get an appointment at 9am and they were hear by noon! Fast response considering its 102 degrees in Boise today. Costs were competitive, service was very friendly and we even got some really useful energy saving tips for keeping the house cool without wasting $. I will call these guys again if we have anymore issues in the future.

If you happen to get one of the owners, Michael in our case he'll break down the science of home energy consumption and how it all works, if you're interested. They take cards too so the process was simple and easy.

We needed a new AC unit, and Capital City came to our house and looked thoroughly at our existing system to give us several options. They added a free compressor blanket to reduce noise, and during the install even sealed up some old duct near the heat exchanger that wasn't explicitly required in the contract. The new AC is awesome and so quiet, we can sleep much better in the summer now. Would highly recommend.

I've been using Capital City heating and cooling for years. Any time I have an issue with heating unit or the AC unit. Prompt friendly service! Great crew! I've had the pleasure of dealing with several different techs over the years. Always happy to answer any questions I have. Makes me feel like it was a friend that came over to help.

Our HVAC system stopped working just as temperatures started reaching into the 90's. I called several reputable companies in the area for quotes on a new system and Capital City Heating & Cooling came in with the lowest price and the soonest appointment. The owner of the company was sympathetic to our emergency and had his crew at our house 2 days later (on a Saturday) to install our new system. Other companies wouldn't put us on their schedule for at least 2 weeks and wanted to charge us WAY more. I highly recommend this local company. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working. They have earned our business.

Charles, the tech they sent out, was fast, professional, and had an obvious wealth of knowledge. Fixed my broken AC quickly, late in the day, and gave me some tips too! Was a great experience and hope to use them moving forward for any other HVAC work.
