He explained the efficiencies of newer units vs ours that helped us make an educated decision on repairs vs replacement with zero pressure. We actually opted for both without feeling “sold”, only “serviced”, and that was extremely refreshing. Highly recommend!!

It was diagnosed at the first visit that I needed a new blower motor. AC unit is on the roof of my two story condo so it is a more difficult job. AJ and the other techs are super nice and helpful. They did a great job

Called Sunset to repair a Pentair pool controller. Technician came out diagnose my controller said it needed a transformer for the control board and maybe a control board on Dec 8th said they would order the parts and come back and fix it service call was 150.00.
Never showed back up to fix my pool it’s a vacation home talked to them on Dec 30 was told by Cindy I sent you a email on the 23rd we don’t work on pool controllers 3 weeks after they can and Diagnosed it.. so my pool has been off for 3 weeks
Per the response that is incorrect I said up front I need someone to fix my Pentir Automation which is the pool control box. The tech took it apart he called another tech from my home. The call was never about the heater .They are not going to admit they where in the wrong.

We built our home in 2020- moved in 01/2021. After our 1yr builders warranty was up, we signed a maintenance contract with Sunset Air. Immediately after their first service in July ‘22, our unit froze and stopped working. Never before had we had an issue or anyone else touch our AC unit. Supposedly it was a part they never go near. They came, repaired it, then the unit broke again not too long after, because they failed to seal around the Handler properly; it created so much condensation we had black mold growing on it. Fixed that.
Cut to not even 6 months later- our system shut down right before hurricane Ian and wasn’t getting power- which I thought was due to the condenser failing since not even the fan would work; as it was the first to stop working. It caused a breaker to trip on the Handler. The tech ultimately bypassed the dual breakers on the handler; saying they were unnecessary.
Last night, 2 weeks later, our condenser died after a few minutes of it sounding like a cat was getting murdered by a freight train. Needless to say, I don’t recommend them at all. In 4 months, we’ve had 4 issues. Stay far away if you don’t want your new ac system to get ruined. I’ll never call them again.
** I know this is long but I edited this to say their customer service is actually very good. That deserves to be said. They’re fast to respond. Everyone is friendly and accommodating; my issue is the constant breakdowns we’ve had since hiring.
