5 Star Air

I was so impressed with Raymond and Eric. We had contacted 5 star at 4 pm and had a technician at 6. Our old system finally had it. Repairs were more than half of a new system. My 95 year old father lives with us. I have a heart condition. By 4 pm the next day we had a new system running at a competitive price. All too often good effort and service is overlooked. Not this time. Glad to participate in this review.

Had a bit of miscommunication at first but after that excellent customer service Jessie was excellent very professional and informative. I had actually had two companies show up due to said miscommunication but I will say first company told me was 2000 just to get my ac turned on and tried to recommend replacing entire unit. Jessie was able to get my ac fixed and working with in ten minutes of the other ac company leaving for around $500 much cheaper then I was initially told. Thank you for the great job will definitely recommend and use in the future!

I am a 75 year old woman living in the Florida Keys and living on social security. My son owns my house and property. I rent a cottage to a nice young woman who works for the city of Marathon. She's been here for a long time and we have become friends.

Her Pioneer mini-split a/c was no longer working and was leaking water out the front. I called 5 Star Air who very efficiently handled my request, and sent out a very nice young man named Jesse. Jesse came as scheduled and looked at the unit. He diagnosed it as needing a new circuit board and possibly a new compressor. He said he could not get the circuit board for TWO months, and then I would possibly need a new compressor as well.

We discussed replacing the unit entirely; he said we would need to get permits from the county and he could maybe get it done in less than a month. He estimated the cost of a new mini-split at $5800 plus the cost of the permitting. I was charged $245 for the service call. I was quoted $159 and when I mentioned it he said "Plus my time".

I was in a quandary trying to find a way to fix this problem; I called my handiman, Josh, who came right over. He said the drain hole was plugged and cleared it with a piece of wire. The a/c is working fine now.

I feel like a fool. Why would a trained professional potentially charge me thousands of dollars when it could be fixed with a piece of wire?

Edwin did a fantastic job! I had 2 AC units that were surged and then frozen after a bad storm. Edwin was able to fix both units with ease and arrived to my house within an hour of calling for service. Highly recommend! they definitely deliver 5 star service!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

5 star air lives up to its name. My ac was old and on its last leg. I gave them a call on a Sunday, spoke with Chris and he gave me a quote the same day. Beat other quotes by more than a thousand dollars. Ac was installed on that Wednesday by two very knowledgeable gentlemen. Started at 930am and I was blowing cold air by about 2-3pm. Highly recommend.

We were in need of a second opinion and they came highly recommended Chris , Eddie technician and office were amazing.
Eddie was here in under 2 hours kind professional quality and honest service. We need more of these people in our lives.
Performed a check of all systems in and out
We have 5 star as our new company for our home and will see them in 6 months !
No need for anyone to call another company again.

Matthew was very professional, knowledgeable thorough in his evaluation of our HVAC unit and thermostat. He didn’t try to sell us anything we didn’t need and explained what he was going to be doing during the service call. My husband and I were both very pleased.
