My air conditioner went out this morning and the temp climbed to 94°. I am currently in the HVAC field with 20+ years of experience. I got hit with Covid and I'm not able to be in the field for the moment. Not a fun situation to be in. I am currently renting and my landlord called Hickens a/c out. A gentleman named Shawn arrived and immediately went to work. He was prompt, polite, and knowledgeable. I was impressed on how quick and efficient he was. He diagnosed, made the repair, thoroughly went over the unit to make sure it was going to continue cooling, cleaned up the area, and had us cooling in no time. It's eye-opening having to call on a fellow HVAC brother (whom I've never met) to come help us out but he did a excellent job. Hats off sir. Thank you to Hickens Air for the awesome (saved my bu..) experience, from the office staff to the technician they sent out!

WOW! I am super impressed with this company. Ok so, when your AC goes out in August on a Saturday afternoon you panic, right? This company responded right away. Told me what to expect and when they would be arriving. Very professional technician Shawn was extremely helpful, explained what was wrong in simple terms, and went over the process for the needed repairs. This is the follow-up from my previous posting. The AC tech they sent out on August 8, 2022 name is Kyle arrived at 2:45pm instead of 1pm like Hicken Air stated. I called Hicke Air and Amy stated to me that the AC tech was having difficulty in getting the part and I stated to Amy that I spoke to Gabe on Friday August 5, 2022 and he stated to me that the part had arrived. So, Amy didn't even acknowledge my question and she did was the tech was on his way. Kyle spent a lot of time in the attic and then going outside to the AC Unit. Kyle didn't start working in the attic until about 3:30pm and just before 7pm Kyle stated that he was done. I asked Kyle if the AC unit was fixed and he stated no we have to come back I asked Kyle what is wrong with the AC Unit he stated he cannot tell me what is wrong with AC Unit because we are just the tenants and that is according to the contract, they have with National Home Rentals. So now we go from a part being replaced to replacing the entire unit. Three different AC Tech's from the same company and they all give a different diagnosis. I asked National Home Rentals we go from replacing a part to replacing the AC unit, so what were all three AC tech's doing in the attic this entire time. A new AC unit was installed on August 9, 2022 and 2 other gentlemen came with Shawn of Hicken Air and these 2 other gentlemen were not affiliated with Hicken Air. They stated that Shawn the AC tech didn't know what he was doing and they also stated that the AC Unit didn't have to be replaced because the part in question is readily available and there is Trane warehouse located down the street.
