Brian and Adam did our duct cleaning today and they did a great job. We gave used norrell for all of our HVAC needs for 30 years. Have purchased all of our heating and cooling systems from them. They always give 5 star service. This was our first time to have them do duct cleaning and we will definitely call on them again next time it needs it.

They sent a salesperson to my home, unannounced, along with the service person. They first told us that our 7-year-old A/C unit was no good and that the entire thing would need to be replaced. They asked us to sign up for a subscription service, where they would bring in one of their units, and we would pay $200/month for an undetermined amount of time, seemingly forever. After not getting the answer they wanted the first time, they diagnosed the motor as the problem - so, in fact, the entire unit did not need to be replaced. When we insisted that we only wanted the necessarily repairs to be made and had zero interest in the subscription service they were peddling, they tried to push the whole thing on us again by saying “if we fix the motor and it breaks again….” Okay, no. If you fix the motor and it breaks, that’s on you. That’s not fixed, especially when you’re the ones diagnosing it. Why on earth would we pay $200/month to a company to maintain our AC if they can’t even properly repair it? After waiting around our home for an uncomfortable amount of time hoping my husband would cave and go for the subscription, they eventually performed the requested repairs and left, but not without being pushy, lying to us about the condition of our unit, trying to peddle a subscription we never asked for information about, bringing an extra stranger into our home unannounced in midst of a pandemic, and not taking no for an answer. I’m glad these men were not able to make their original appointment time, because if they had brought an extra man to my home unannounced, already being pushy and rude and making my family very uncomfortable, while I was home alone, I would have told them to leave or I’d call the police. The whole visit screamed “shady business practices”, at best. They made it clear that they never intended to just make the service call and came to our home under false pretenses, trying to make a sale with their vague, scammy subscription. We will ABSOLUTELY NOT be using Norrell in the future. I would advise that you keep these scam artists away from your home, as well.
