We called a number given by the company on another review. This put us in touch with the New Construction Department, where we spoke to a staff member who was amazing; she listened to our concerns and helped discuss our options. She said she would ask the owner, Tim, or the Retail Manager, Charles, to call us back. Charles gave us a call the same day and said that they would fix our issues free of charge.

Since our phone call to the New Construction department, Apex has been very attentive, has had great communication, and the repairs they did are holding strong. I am incredibly grateful for the staff and technicians that helped us get this mistake fixed.

The review has been increased because of the amazing service. It isn't 5 stars because of lengths that we had to go through to rectify the issues and the fact that the person who called us back to tell us the work was completely covered was also the same person who originally told us that Apex wouldn't accept responsibility for the original issues and that $650 was the best deal they would offer because this "wasn't their fault".

Original review-
The company that built our home in 2020 used Apex to install the HVAC system. We had an issue with it leaking after the first year- they sent out a technician who claimed to fix the leak without taking the unit off the wall and then told us to clean the filter.
Now-a year later- we had a leak in the same spot but worse. We called and had a wonderful technician out to diagnose the problem. $140 service fee was quoted, totally fine. The technician did a thorough and amazing job. He found issues that were never dealt with and were byproducts of the initial installation being done incorrectly. He again, was great and very thorough, said he would speak with his company to see about rectifying this issue.
The issue continued to get worse over the 3 days that it took for the office Assistant to call us back.
They said we should've signed up for maintenance services-which we didn't know about- and that it would be $650 to fix the leak. For an issue that was caused during installation. Done by their company. And was supposed to be fixed a year ago when we had them dispatch the first technician.
So now we're stuck with a large hole in our drywall and water damage to the paint.
I generally try to only leave positive reviews, as negative ones can really hurt small businesses, but I feel that this is an important one to notify potential clients to.
So, in summation, I would not recommend this company as it appears that they do not stand by their initial work (done 2 years ago). And it takes multiple appointments to figure out the problem.

Company was asked to come out to service our furnace, company disclosed a $300 trip charge but failed to disclose a min hourly rate in addition to the $300 charge of $460. Service tech admitted he should have disclosed that but forgot, spoke to the main office manager who said it’s not their policy to disclose their rates up front but when I pointed out that that’s extremely shady business practices, he insisted it’s not. The manager said he also spoke to the owner of the company who also said he didn’t care if the tech told me up front or not, they did a service, they can charge whatever they want regardless of if they disclosed it to me or not. Extremely unethical business practices taking advantage of a 75 year old pensioner. Be aware, they will tell you their $300 trip feel but fail to mention they will actually charge you a min of $860 for going out even if it only took 30mins and no parts to fix.

Edit: Owners response is even more telling at what a dishonest company he runs. It was his own employee who told me he was there from 8:20am to 8:50am. When I talked to the manager he said they go based off of GPS tracking, not what his employee says. So even if his employee sits in his car for 30mins you will be billed for whole time he was parked at that location. The manager and I actually did reach a mutual agreement on a more reasonable price and said he would get it fixed but just like the initial deceptive practices he called later to say they changed their minds. At the end of the day any company that doesn’t make it a policy to disclose its hourly rate upfront is dishonest and deceptive. You can’t justify or argue that but this company certainly will try.

I called on APEX for an inspection on my furnace after my brother had a great experience with Ricardo. David gave me a call on his way to my house and gave me an estimate on how long it would take him to arrive. he arrived at 8am, exactly when he said he would. David was very polite, thorough, and explained every detail of what needs done. David was able to get my fireplace and furnace back up in running in 2 hours. It was much appreciated with it getting cold outside. I would recommend anyone who is having heating and/or air issues to give APEX a call!

Great company! The techs are knowledgeable and professional, and always take the time to explain what they've done, report on the condition of the hvac system, and let us know what to expect until the next visit. We're on a maintenance contract with them and really appreciate the convenience.

Woke up this morning and my Thermostat was blank - no power. I called the Thermostat company and they gave me a couple maintenance companies names. I called around and Apex was able to get to me the same day. I received a text when the technician was on the way. Zach came and was professional. He went over my issue as he understood it and knew exactly what needed to be done. He could tell I was clueless when it comes to heating and air. He explained my system, how it worked and even sketched out a picture to help me understand. He recommended much needed maintenance and explained which package was best for me.

I will definitely be a long time customer.

David Fernandez was the employee I had the pleasure of working with! David was professional but personable. His over all demeanor was very trusting. You could just tell he cared and was almost treating me like a daughter! He explained everything in Layman terms and never left me out of loop on cost! David not only fixed the issue but identified it within minutes upon arrival. To top it off he even cleaned my unit outside - not expected but more than appreciated. He clearly understands what it means to provide not only quick, and efficient service but also how to create a return customer! You’ve got my husband and I for life! Apex air hires wonderful employees that exemplify their companies core values clearly. I received even a follow up call to make sure everything was still A-ok! Hire someone that not only has knowledge but cares about their relationship with their customers!!
