Sturm Heating & Air Conditioning

If you are looking to replace your furnace or central air, Sturm is your place. Staff is excellent ans the install was super. A few years later and they still offer great CS on the annual maintenance.

We used Sturm to install a gas line for our new natural gas stove. The installers were great. Very professional and knowledgeable. We had a small communication issue with the estimator/scheduler on the day of install but overall Sturm was very responsive in their other messaging with us. When I lived in Spokane, I always called Sturm for their great service and honest technicians, but when I moved to Deer Park I discovered that they charge a higher travel/visit fee than some other companies. So in an effort to save money I've tried a number of others that charge less for the visit. Over the years, I've come to realize that I wasn't really saving myself any money, and I certainly wasn't saving myself any hassle.

I have a troublesome electric furnace that wasn't ideally installed, and as a result has suffered multiple overheat events due to insufficient air circulation. While the other company technicians were happy to take my money for each dead-of-winter repair, none of them properly identified the actual source of the problem. It took me a few years to finally figure it out for myself after looking some stuff up online and performing a couple of simple air flow tests. Unfortunately, much of the damage was already done and many of the components in the furnace had been aged beyond their years. Last winter it was a dead transformer due to a damaged furnace breaker. Both had to be replaced and, as per code, the breaker required an inspector and a permit fee. It adds up fast and this furnace has been bleeding us dry. This winter, when the weather dipped into the single digits and the furnace wouldn't come on, I wasn't even a little surprised. I looked up some more information and concluded the issue was related to the blower. I knew it wouldn't be cheap to repair and I didn't want to get over charged. I needed an honest technician, so I called Sturm. I paid more for the initial visit, it's true, but I have no regrets.

I've encounter some pretty egregious attempts to invent work and overcharge by others in the past, so I did my research and was ready with a general idea of what this should probably cost me, but it was nuanced and broad. It could cost a few hundred or it could cost a thousand or more. It was freezing outside, the furnace wasn't working, and it was a couple days before Thanksgiving. An honest technician can make all the difference.

Jaden Catchpole was that technician. He was courteous, polite, straight forward, informative, explained everything in detail, and quoted me a reasonable price. It required finding an appropriate blower because an identical replacement wasn't available and probably wouldn't be available for at least a few weeks. He managed to find one that would work and got the job done the very next day, despite 5 inches of fresh snow still on the roads. The day after that was Thanksgiving and we had much to be thankful for.

Thank you Jaden! This is why I always hired Sturm in the past and it is why I will always hire Sturm in the future. I know what to expect, I know it'll be a fair deal, and they'll even go that extra mile when you're in a pinch -- all for a reasonable price.

From the first phone call to the install, this company was extremely professional and helpful with the install of my new furnace and ac unit. Kip was very helpful with the scheduling, and the guys that came to do the install were absolutely amazing. They worked very hard to get me heat in a 2 days time as the weather was getting cold fast, even left heaters with me overnight to stay warm while this process was going on. They took my oil tank out, and did a fantastic job with that.They recently came back and did the ac unit. They are fast and efficient. Great company all around.

Recently had a new furnace and A/C unit installed by the Sturm team. Kip came out to inspect our existing system and do a quick load calculation before quoting a new system that would meet the needs of our space. He answered all my questions and after I agreed to move ahead he told me a team could begin the installation the next morning (great news after having been without heat for 2 days at that point in the dead of winter). The following morning the installation team of Jonathan, Chris and Josh all showed up on time and went straight to work. As best as I can tell, they worked non-stop for about 4.5-5 hrs at which point they were done with the job. All of them were friendly, polite, professional and willing to answer any questions I had. I'm no expert, but from their work I've inspected so far, I'm generally pleased with how they went about it. I do believe there were cheaper options out there, and only time will tell how the equipment holds up, but in the end it was a pretty easy decision and I'm pleased with my experience. I would definitely recommend Sturm.

We are extremely pleased with the installation of our gas furnace and AC by Collin and Joe. They arrived as expected, did an excellent installation and left our home clean. Both were friendly and answered any questions. Andy came to our home initially and gave us the estimate, he also did a great job going over our options. Overall a very good company to hire for our installation.

We recently had a new heat pump installed by Sturm. We were able to receive service quickly even though it was still the winter season. Installers Canyon & Ezra arrived on time, were friendly, knowledgeable & thorough. (They even put their booties on when coming in the house without me asking!) I was in attendance throughout the installation & they answered all my questions without hesitation. We would definitely recommend Sturm, Canyon & Ezra! for any heating & AC needs.

The install crew did a great job removing our 30 yr old furnace and installing a new system. They went out of there way to protect my floors and cleaned up completely when they were done.
