Green City Heating and Air Conditioning

Had Green City install a new Daikin AC unit to my existing furnace because the window units I had just couldn't keep the house cool in the heat. The crew came out and quickly installed the new unit which works great at keeping the whole house cool. Looking forward to the warmer weather now that we have A/C. The crew was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and cleaned up after the job. Green City gave me a way better deal than the other big name company that gave me a quote. I'll be using them again for my maintenance needs in the future.

Was very happy with the overall experience working with Diamond, Jeff, and the install team. We had a tricky house to navigate and the crew handled it well. Currently my parents and brother have both recently installed Heat Pumps, AC through Green City. We went with the Daikin Fit Heat Pump and Natural Gas Modulating Furnace. We hired Green City to install a 3-Zone ductless system in our home after the heat wave last summer. We were first scheduled for install in September but a delay of the head units pushed the install. We got rescheduled for install again the last week of November and again was informed the day before what we had ordered was not in stock.

After not hearing from anyone for almost two months regarding the status of our equipment and install, I called and requested if we could just upgrade the units to something that was in stock. We were able to do so and received a discount on the upgraded units.

Finally. everything has been installed and we are pleased with thus far. The installers were friendly, explained everything they were doing, and cleaned up afterwards.

Even though it took almost 6 months to have the system installed and it was unfortunate what we originally ordered caused such a delay but we are pleased with the upgraded Daikin Emura system.

We would definitely use Green City in the future.
We had a very positive experience with all of the staff at Green City. Jeff, the owner, came to our place about a year ago to give us a bid for a mini-split system install and we sat on it until a month ago as it is a big investment. He was very no-pressure and patient in answering all of our questions in easy to understand terms. Of course the price went up for our install but it had been a year and the increase was logical.

Alex and Anthony the installers were on time each of the two days for our job and very polite and good communicators. Alex was great about correcting one issue with the type of head unit that we wanted in our main living room (we went with a silver/gray finish instead of the normal white). Alex made sure to check in with us at the beginning to identify the locations of the five indoor units and he didn't even blink an eye when he found out he needed to run some of the lines through our cramped attic to ensure the line sets didn't run around the front of the house. He also made sure to check-in regularly on how the install was going and to go over the appropriate running of the electrical line that met our needs as well as theirs.

The indoor units are super quite and cool down our rooms quickly, just what we wanted. We can't wait to try out the heating function this fall/winter. Alex and Anthony even notched out one of the line set cover runs to sit nicely up against our air vents.

I used Green City to install a Daikin FIT heat pump and a Daikin Variable-Speed 96% Furnace, the latter inside of our attic. I was impressed by the professionalism of all the individuals I dealt with there, especially Chip, Scott and Joey, who did the installation. My main motivation was to have a more efficient system and air conditioning in the summer, but I've been pleasantly surprised by how much more comfortable the home is during winter even with a lower temperature setting. The difference is night and day with our previous system! They were recommended to me by a friend, and I wouldn't hesitate to do the same.

My wife and I finally decided that it was time to have air conditioning installed in our home. Our furnace was also near the end of its useful life, so we decided it was time to get that replaced as well. We called up 3 local companies to get bids including Green City. The owner himself (Jeff) was the one who came out and met with us. It says a lot when the owner of a service company himself is the one meeting with potential customers to provide estimates. There was no high pressure sales pitch, unlike one of the other companies that we met with! Jeff was honest and straight forward with us. He let us know what exactly what our house would need and presented all the different options that Green City had available. Green City is a Lennox dealer, so you know you are getting good equipment. My wife and I were thrilled when Green City presented the lowest bid out of the 3 companies. The installation crew was awesome! They showed up right on time and got right to work. They took the time to walk me through every step of the installation to make sure that we were happy with the placement of all the equipment. They had our new heating and air conditioning system up and running by the end of the day. The installation was super clean and looks great. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend Green City to any of my family and friends. Green City also works with local credit unions that offer low rate financing, which is what we opted to do. We will definitely be Green City customers for life!

I was able to get a 3-stage mini split quoted and installed within 2 weeks of calling them. Other companies were giving me timelines of 6 months or more for just a quote so it was great to see the expediency of Green City.

Diamond came out and was able to answer all of my questions and provided me with lots of information about the mini split being installed, the permits to be pulled, and financing options. I received the quote within a couple of days of meeting Diamond and was able to schedule an install date for the next week.

Devon and Matt came out for the install. They worked tirelessly through the rain and were very considerate, even taking their boots off every time they needed to come inside. Devon made a suggested change for the install location that would require fewer holes being drilled into the siding which I appreciated immensely and demonstrated keen knowledge of the install.

The unit has been working great so far and I am experiencing much better heating, cooling and comfort.

Green City did a great job replacing my failed gas water heater. I didn't think my old water heater would die in 11 years (different brand and installer), but I went away for a weekend and returned home to find no hot water and a spill on my basement floor. I reached out to Green City who I worked with a couple months prior on a chimney-replacement vent and they scheduled a crew for the NEXT DAY to replace my failed water heater. We were just back from a trip and didn't expect to be without water for showers, dishes, and laundry, so getting a team out quick was a great help. They actually arrived a couple hours early! The crew emptied out my old water heater, cleaned up the work space, sealed the exhaust (none of the previous 2 HVAC companies that installed my previous furnace and water heater did that), installed the new water heater, and walked me through how to fire it up (if I ever need to do that myself) and gave me maintenance tips. I'm not in a hurry to have another water leak, but if I do in 10 years, I will gladly call Green City.

I had been planning to have my 30 year old furnace replaced with a heat pump last year and then Seattle was hit by record high heat and everyone else decided to do it at the same time. Many companies had six month or more waiting lists. I did some searching and found Green City Heating and Air Conditioning. They had favorable reviews so I gave them a call. They were able to come right away and give me an estimate. Due to Seattle noise regulations the other companies I had talked to could only install it in the front or backyard. Not ideal for my situation. Green City recommended the Daikin FIT. It was quiet enough that it could go on the side of my house and is also super efficient. They scheduled me for installation just a few weeks later. As luck would have it that day turned out to be the coldest day of the year. I was a little nervous about having my furnace removed in case there were problems that prevented them from finishing quickly. But they arrived on time and worked quickly. Everything was completed by mid-afternoon and the house had only dropped a few degrees. Their work was all of very high quality and they gave me a thorough introduction to the system. Over the next few weeks I had some followup questions which they answered promptly. I've lived with the system for three seasons now and it has exceeded all my expectations. We have a small home with solar panels and even though this new system is all electric we still produce more than enough electricity to power it. No more fossil fuel use and it is basically free to heat and cool the house! Incidentally, this unit has a variable speed compressor which not only makes it quieter it produces just the right amount of heating or cooling to keep your house comfortable. No more big blast of heat (or cold) and then a long cool down before the next blast. It's always just right and you don't even notice when it comes on.

Very happy with the service and install from Green City Heating. We were wrapping up a full remodel when we realized our old oil furnace needed updating. I called 10 companies, got multiple quotes and a few suggested alternatives - but it was Tyler from Green City who had the idea to install headless units in the attic, and go ductless and they really surprised me with the thorough and thoughtfulness they approached the estimate. He answered all my questions and even came back a *second* time to walk through some questions when other companies were telling me they could schedule me for estimate in 6 months! They're not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for - and I promise Green City goes the extra mile. I had them back in a month to replace a water heater as well. The owner Jeff also made himself available and I really appreciated that.
