    I normally don't write reviews but this warranted one. I called AHS to have a seasonal system check. There was nothing wrong with the system.They sent out ATR (I wish I had checked reviews before them came out). Again, there was nothing wrong with our systems before they came out but after there visit there is a humming noise and rattle when the system is on. Of course I reached out to AHS and they want to charge another service fee to have them come out to fix what they did. I do think there is something fishy between AHS and the contractor. The contractor will get paid twice for breaking something during their preventative visit. I have requested that they send another contractor. Maryland's Attorney General needs to look into this business practice.

    I don’t want to give a star. ATR came ot to fix a/c unit, stating need Freon but not explaining a part needed to be replaced. I call American home shield and they said I had to pay for the extra Freon. ok no problem. I have been waiting for a week for them to come back. I called American home shield to find out when they are gong to contact me. No call back from the company. I call the company, no one never answers or pick up the phone. This is the worst mess I ever seen. Who has a company and never ever calls or acknowledges the customer. Buyer beware. American Home Shield has to go too. You can’t tell me they don’t know what’s going on. They take you money and give you sh.....t

    If I could rate them 0 stars I would. Our AC has been broken through the worst part of summer. This has been going on for weeks. I am currently 7 months pregnant and this company has absolutely no sense of urgency, due diligence, or reasonable customer service experience. You wait on the phone for 30 minutes to speak to someone and then they hang up on you! Unbelievable. So then you call back and wait over again and again. Our house has reached temperatures of 90 degrees with 60% humidity some days. Conditions not safe for a pregnant woman. Getting in touch with a representative is horrendous. Getting them to do their job is horrendous. They are a nightmare of a company and I will make sure everyone I know that needs help NEVER goes to them. This company is extremely unprofessional. Spend your money elsewhere!

    My landlord had ATR General Services come to fix the AC unit thru an insurance claim with AHS, to be honest I was behind nervous when I saw all the horrid reviews. I called repeatedly for about three hours prior to by 2-7pm window to confirm my appointment, could get no one on the phone and left several messages, to which no one returned my call. I truly wondered how AHS was able to make an appointment so quick considering no one ever picked up the phone. I reached out to AHS as my landlord gave me their direct contact info, they provided me with a link to show me where the technician was enroute to the house. Sure enough he arrived about 3:17pm as the link estimated.

    Doug got here asked a few questions to try and understand what the problem was asked where the thermostat was, checked it out. Went to where the inside unit was opened it up examined a few things, changed out the filter, went up into the attic space. Not sure what he did as I wasn't following him up there, it was already hot enough. Went outside to the compressor, attached all kinds of gauges to get readings. Opened it up, went to his truck more tools and supplies, went back upstairs to the inside unit took his thermometer started reading the temps coming out of the vents at various locations in the house.

    Asked me a few more questions. Went back outside to the compressor, I saw him taking off a few more panels, going back out to his truck took some tools out came back in with other tools. Slowly, I could feel the temperature decreasing in the house, it wasn't cooling rapidly, it was 90 degrees outside but it was certainly cooler than it was. Took his thermometer gauge out again to get more temp readings, satisfied with the readings he was getting after the third time he started packing everything back up and tidying up everywhere he had been, he told me it would take a few hours to feel a sizable difference but the house should start to cool off even more. He also recommended that the house needed a bigger unit for its size. I explained that while I appreciated it I would pass the information on, I am just the tenant and that would be up to the landlord.

    As far as I'm concerned Doug represented ATR General Services very well in the Virginia Beach area. I'm sorry others have had such horrid experiences but this service was not a bad experience for me. The four stars is only because I couldn't reach anyone on the phone not for the actual technician that came out to do the work. Doug;s service is FIVE STARS all the way!!!

    Terrible Terrible Terrible, had me take off work all to come out after a huge window arrival time all to have my hvac run for enough time for the technician to get out to door. Called them to come back and refused to send anyone until the next day. Causing me to miss work again. A hour later my heat goes out again. I had call another company. This company ATR General Services is trash

    They sent a tech to my house 4 times 2 months later the system still isn’t working paid them lots of money they have the nerve to tell me they aren’t coming back. They don’t call you back they are unresponsive and completely clueless. Please run the opposite direction don’t use this company. I pray God will deal with them the way they have dealt with me. Vengeance is mine says The Lord he will repay them I promise you that!!

    ****STAY AWAY*** BUYER BEWARE**** T****SCAM ALERT***This company is terrible! Mariano was the technician who arrived and the very first question before checking anything else was whether I had freon replaced. After 5 minutes, he told me he needed a key for my air conditioning unit. There is no key. There isn't even a lock. He never checked my thermastat upstairs or the closet in the garage where the a/c heating unit was. Tech last year from another company did not need a key. All neighbors have the same a/c units and have them serviced without keys. There are no locks. He said he couldn't do anything without a key. I told him I would be cancelling the order via American Home Shield and requesting a refund for my co-pay and requesting another company and technician.

    This place has horrible customer service! I contacted the homeowner about the a.c unit going out(2nd time, first time for heating). The homeowner contacted AHS, who said ATR is the contracted company. You try to call ATR to schedule service call, you're on hold forever, they do not return your call in a timely manner, they are not friendly, and they could never get anyone out in a timely manner. Why does this place even exist? I'm not even a homeowner, but why does AHS not seem to get the best contractors to service homeowners? There's so many reputable companies out here that should be able to take on contracts for homeowners. This is so annoying

    This company was being used by my warranty company, American Home Shield. They cancelled my heating tuneup and I had to pay out of pocket. Once again, they was scheduled and cancelled

    This is quite possibly one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. The technician (Janier) was very nice, but the amount of "stuff" you have to go through with the office to get someone over isn't worth it. If you are using a warranty company, beg them to use someone else. If you aren't, I would recommend you keep searching! You will be glad you did in the long run.
