I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. They are trained in denying warranty claims not HVAC repair. The technician arrived and promptly stated that the warranty company was not going to pay them to properly repair the unit. Just “patch it up”. Very nice to know!! Then he noticed the wires were disconnected from the compressor (disconnected because it was smoking and a fire hazard). The wires were almost burned in two!! He then stated he couldn’t touch it and got in his van and left!! Heaven forbid he connect the two burned wires that he deemed “suspicious”… For two weeks AHS blamed ATR and vice versa. This company never answers the phone. I ended up getting them both on the line with a three way call. ATR’s manager got on the line and stated that their policy was to recommend that the warranty company deny a customers claim even though wires were disconnected for safety reasons!! Do not use this trifling company. Even if my claim was honored I’d still not want to let this company near my home. Combine them and AHS and it’s a disaster. Actually you stand a better chance taking the monthly premium amd playing the lottery. You’d stand a better chance of coming out ahead. DONT DO IT!!!
There rating could have been higher, they first came or to troubleshoot the problem on 7/21/21, they didn't order the part until we called AHS to complain that we hadn't heard anything from ATR, 48hrs after the initial review. 1 week later still no response, again calling AHS getting the run around from both companies, and multiple complaints with the inside temperatures over 90+° and them now saying AHS never approved the part and AHS saying that wasn't true, and more complaints finally getting them to order it, and getting it installed 08/05/21. The techs were good , but as a co, not too happy.
Referred to this company by AHS. What a joke... I have never had to pay upfront just to schedule an appointment for a repair. The company was very unresponsive when it came time to actually make the repair but wanted me to pay them upfront for the repair. Do not let AHS send you to this company!!! I would give them zero stars it I could...
Update: 2 weeks after my repair my central air is not working again... same problem. It's Monday and I can't get anyone out until Friday. Avoid this place at all costs...
I used the service of the company when I had heating issues. They changed my air handler and a year later my unit wasn't working. I had another company come out and they informed me that they gave me a below builder air handler that wasn't compatible with my heat pump or unit outside. Now I need to replace my entire system after paying over $3000 for the air handler a year ago. They placed a bandage on my actual problem instead of fixing it from the beginning now I'm playing triple because of their initial short cut.
They never answer their phone. It took 2 weeks for someone to come to my home and when they did they were late. They also did not call to tell me they would be late. Do not use this company. My home warranty picked it and I have now asked them to never use ATR again

After reading other reviews I worry that they will not even show up. Well they showed up on 7/2. Need a big repair. I was told 5-10 days before it would be done. It is now 7/11 and the information for the call has yet to be sent to my home warranty company. This means the repair has yet to be approved because they have not sent it in to do the work. Still can not get them to answer calls. No updates, No contact , no repair done. Update no information was sent to my warranty company. My warranty company pulled my claim from them for lack of confidence. I was told by Atr that the person who came out is the only one who could send the information (that was already in their computer) and that they would each to them to TRY to get them to send it. Both myself and my warranty company were done with them! 17 days with no ac … RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
When I called this company not only did I get redirected to a waiting line right away, but I was met with a individual that was Not familiar with any of the Services that this company Offers.
When I asked about a specific problem I was told that he had absolutely no Issue as to what I was talking about after he skipped around the Conversation for 10 minutes.. Then I asked to speak with a representative from that particular part of the company or forwarded to management.. He tgen said that his boss was not taking phone calls from customers because he was "busy".. Sounds like a great company to work for or to get anything from..
This is the worst unprofessional company ever . They sent a technician who damaged my child’s bed frame trying to get into the attic . I was moving the bed closer to the wall , when ATR technician pushed the bed / while doing so cracked the entire bed frame . When asked who will repair the damaged bed / I was told , I will get a call back . It never happened??!!!! I called back , was placed on hold for over 12 minutes ( to speak with someone ) who advised they will not be replacing my child’s bed. Not only did I pay for my HVAC repairs , now I’m stuck with a damaged bed . I’m spending more money for another bed because of this company technician negligence. I will never ever use this company AGAIN !!! I will pass this information to all friends / family .. Worst company EVER!
UPDATE: How in God's name is this terrible company still in business? Someone needs to shut them down ASAP. Their reviews are horrible and it's not because people have nothing more to do than write negative reviews. This company is truly the worst of the worst, and out to make quick money on AHS customers. From the office staff to the technicians, this company is complete garbage. It is because of them I am dropping AHS.
HORRIBLE, unprofessional, unresponsive, uncaring "business", if they can even be called that. I would give them negative stars if I could. Have lied, postponed and given me the run-around for MONTHS and left me without air in the sweltering summer and without heat in the cold, dead of winter. I am always so nice and polite w them but they refuse to ever call me back. I only have dealt w them bc that's who AHS assigned. NO MORE. I'm demanding someone else or cancelling my AHS warranty. ATR needs to be put out of business immediately! HORRIBLE!!!
The tech was extremly professional and knowledgeable. He found the problem which evidently was there since it was installed by someone else 8 years ago. I highly reccomend this company.
