Superior Water and Air was our first choice as they had installed a water heater in our home a few years ago. This week we were replacing a toilet and we accidentally damaged the copper pipe for the water feed to the toilet tank. Alma McCausland was the team member that was dispatched to our home. He was a consumate professional! He arrived on time, he listened to our concerns, and examined the copper pipes in our mechanical room and the bathroom. He walked us through the steps he recommended to replace two sections of our copper pipe system, one for the toilet water supply, the other for a section of pipe in the mechanical room that once had a saddle valve for the water feed to an evaporative cooler. With our approval, he replaced the sections of the copper piping, checked for any leaks, and tested the water pressure. He made sure we had his contact information in case we had any additional questions or concerns. It was a great experience working with Alma!

Martin did an amazing job at fixing my reverse osmosis system. He was very knowledgeable and kept me in the loop the entire time. Would definitely recommend!

Josh did a great job with quickly diagnosing the problem with our furnace and got it fixed promptly. Same with our steam humidifier that I hadn't properly maintained. I also appreciate that he directed us to their service program both saving me money and assuring I won't ignore maintenance in the future.

We had a water softener installed in our house the other week. Mark was amazing with the installation. He was professional and efficient in his work. He was very thorough and walked us through all the details after the installation was complete.

We hired Superior through our local Costco to replace our aging HVAC system. Initially there were red flags - a no showed appointment, no calls back, many mistakes on the first contracts. The Vice President of Operation, Todd Jameson, got involved from the beginning. He discounted the price of the equipment and was apologetic for the initial mistakes. We decided to go with them since they were backed through Costco. We’ve shopped at Costco for over 20 years and trust their company implicitly. The first Superior install crew came to put in two furnaces and one air conditioner. I had some concerns with the lead installer. He was often shouting to his apprentice and chain smoking in my driveway (throwing cigarette butts into a pile of dried leaves on my driveway, mind you I live in a wood house in the mountains.) He also never wore a Superior uniform. I decided to check the model numbers on the two furnaces that were installed, one night after they left, since I had pointed out some discrepancies on the contract with what I was being sold. I was astonished to find that the company had sold me a more expensive, powerful furnace, and installed a lesser quality one. I called Salt Lake County the same day and found out they had not pulled a permit to work in my home. The county inspector came up and was appalled at what he saw. He denied granting Superior a permit for work in my home until they met with him and submitted written plans. The equipment was poorly installed by Superior and I was sold a bunch of expensive equipment without addressing the underlying issue, existing faulty duct work in my main furnace room. This after they had cut three large holes in my basement dry wall and duct work trying to figure out why I still had poor air flow, despite the new equipment. Their General Manager here in Salt Lake who liked to call himself the “lead engineer, numbers guy” tried to bill me $5000 extra to solve the problems. It took the county one minute to diagnose the problem without cutting any holes in the wall, while this manager, who was completely clueless, spent two hours in my home with several staff trying to figure out what was wrong. I could write a book with more details than I care to relive about this horrendous experience. Stained carpet, scuffed doors, gas leaks, water heater left off over night, drywall replaced that isn't level. The contract included several hundred dollars in Rocky Mountain Power rebates that the power company said they couldn't honor. Long story short Costco got involved and forced the company to fix all of their mistakes at no additional cost. Mike P. and Brandon from Superior came with the county and discussed what needed to be fixed and they did an excellent job with the second install, very professional and calm throughout any problems encountered. It took Superior 46 days to finish the work in my home. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Although they have some staff who are friendly and courteous, and try to do their best, it is an extremely disorganized, poorly run company. There is little to no communication between the staff. I spent countless hours correcting their mistakes. The salesman who came to my home was seriously under qualified to sell thousands of dollars of products and service and the initial install crew was completely incompetent. If you do choose to hire this company please use Home Depot or Costco so they are held accountable for their work and make sure they get a permit for the job so the county inspector can review their work and that you check model numbers on the equipment installed. The county told me about Just Right Air that is run by a man who teachers HVAC at the community college. If I have any future HVAC issues this company will get my business. Superior Air is anything BUT superior!! I wish I could give no stars, they don't even deserve one. I can't comprehend on any level why Costco is in business with this company. I hope they rethink this partnership, especially after all the problems with my install.

Martin checked out our Water softener that was not functioning the way it should. He explained what he was doing and what the problem was. He was very kind and professional. Even took some time to give us information regarding upgrading to a newer system and what that would do for us.

Asked for a Generator quote from there Costco rep, they called me and with outlooking I was told it would be 30 grand. I told them never mind. I called 24 hour service and they came out updateded electric panel wiring and meter with the generac at 15kw for the same price. I guess my rose park address wasn’t in their preferred area

Alma was the ultimate service person. He was polite, explained things from the very beginning, and offered useful suggestions. He cooperated with the "cleanup" crew as they were busy removing water, carpet, and matting. He was a five star representative for the company that installed our water heater several years ago.
