James was right on time today. He was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. He knows a lot about what he’s doing and was very pleasant. Unlike these other guys who don’t even like to answer your questions even though they’re working for you when they come.

I highly recommend Design Comfort! They have replaced/installed my air conditioner, furnace, water heater and humidifier. I do not miss my fall and spring maintenance visits. I trust them completely. We have used Design Comfort for more than 20 years but in the last 6 - 7 years the quality of their work has deteriorated. Most recently, we had an annoying sound coming from our furnace and we called to have them fix it. Their tech came and told us we needed a new furnace. We questioned that diagnosis and decided we needed a second opinion. We called Manwill and they found that there were two stripped screws that were causing the sound. No new furnace needed.

Design Comfort was prompt, professional, and ultimately were down to every detail to replace our Hydronics heating system by troubleshooting the old system and updating to an efficient, well run heating system for our very large home. I recommend this company if you want a job extremely well done.

This was our first time using Design Comfort. We were remodeling a room and a vent line was damaged and needing fixing so our contractor could finish. Design Comfort came out quickly, fixed it the next day and put in a solution that was better than what was there before. We

More interested In selling a new furnace or exorbitant and unnecessary service. Our heater was cycling off improperly and the burner wouldn’t stay on. We called design comfort for a service call. The service man came to the house and on time and was kind. He looked at our 7-year old heater he said it would be tough to fix and recommended a new heater. $8-10k dollars or he could clean it for $2,500 and it would work well.

I literally googled the symptoms the next day and some YouTube instructions told me exactly what to do. All it needed was to clean the flame sensor. Literally took 10 mins, a screwdriver and steel wool and it had worked perfectly for days.

I think the service man was more interested in a commission on a new furnace than a simple fix.

How could he not do such a basic fix? Google the problem first and I do not recommended design comfort.

Update: it’s been two years since their tech wanted to replace my furnace or clean it for $2,500 and yet my free you-tube fix still works and and the furnace has had no problems whatsoever. So glad I didn’t take their expensive advice. Be cautious.

Design Comfort is great. They got our swamp cooler up and running and even went out of our way to make sure that some weather worn caulk was repaired. We have been using them for years!

We met with several different companies and are very happy we chose Design Comfort. Eric took the time to make sure we were getting the best system to meet our needs. He provided options up front and was willing to tailor the job to our needs and desires. As with many projects our project grew into a new furnace, tankless water heater and some remodeling. Design Comfort did it all. Our home is heated so much more evenly. It feels so much warmer even though the thermostat is set lower. Spencer, Cory and Eric were friendly, respectful and efficient when they came in to do the work. They took time to explain the new system and made sure everything was completed to our satisfaction.
