Great work over long hours per day to install a new furnace and AC. They got it done in 2.5 days after assessing the problem. I know it's difficult when your hands get dirty on the job to keep the customers doors and walls clean but it's very important to do so. They could have done better. They did wear shoe coverings to minimize dirt indoors.
Matt has helped us several times, as well as my mother, twice. He is totally honest and forthright in his assessments of our furnace/ac problems. For my 96 year old mother, he went the extra mile in obtaining a warranty for a furnace part. I've already recommended him to all my family. Thanks so much.

When the technician came out on the 14th of May to do the annual service and check on my air-conditioner he said a $104 part needed to be replaced. I agreed. He then spent several hours trying to figure out why the air conditioner did not work after replacing the part. He was unable to complete the service. Today one of the owners of the company came out to remedy the problem. After a couple of hours working on the unit, he told me that while he could repair the unit, he did not recommend putting any more money into the 23 year old appliance. I explained that for various reasons, I wanted to limit my expenditures and while acknowledging that the unit is VERY old and that it's miraculous it is still working, I would prefer NOT to replace it. He then told me that for $297 he could guarantee that it will make it through the summer and possibly another year beyond that. I was thrilled! I have had previous experience with this company concerning my old furnaces and they have been very understanding and willing to make repairs that have kept the units running even though they are old and should ideally be replaced.
I have lived in two homes that has been serviced by Design Comfort. The techs are all very different. Matt who is my latest tech, has gone out of his way for me to schedule appointments where I don't have to take time off of work to be there. Matt discovering that I didn't have a piece of equipment on my hot water heater went back to the office and picked one up and brought it back and installed it for me long after he was off duty.
It was starting to get hot and one of our air conditioners wasn't functioning. I called the office, scheduled an appointment, and had excellent service. Brendon was amazing and got new parts installed, explained everything he was doing, and had my office habitable by the end of day.
Got off to a Bad start; I found out afterwards, that when you call this number, the person answering gets paid a $79 "Finder's Fee" to call a plumber... When I asked whether it was a finder's fee, he didn't answer me... James was the plumber... and said he gets none of that...
James did the work using Sharkbite fittings... Which are much quicker but not well proven... My feeling is that a plumber who's driven only by saving time and, has to resort to Shark bite is not a true plumber...
Additionally, I'm really not confident that the new overflow pressure tank had enough pre-pressure at #43 to balance the water pressure here which runs #80-100...and, I never saw that pressure ever checked before or after it was fitted...
It is bad enough being in quarantine but to have no heat is unbearable! Jerry at Design Comfort called me right back and talked me through how to get our heat up and running. We have been a customer for a few years and have been very happy with the service but this was above and beyond and we are very grateful. Thanks Design Comfort!
Great technician. He worked all day installing our new air conditioning. He was very professional, polite and very helpful explaining the system when he was through. I would very much recommend Design Comfort to any one.
