Design Comfort

I had been a loyal customer. Yesterday, I had some guys do their annual check on my AC. Today, my AC doesn't work and it's 90 degrees in my house. I called to get a tech out here immediately, some woman named Elena could care less. She told me they could be there in 3 hours. When I told her to please send someone sooner, she said "so you think another company can come out any sooner than us? Try them!". I told her "you guys broke my AC, its not like I'm calling to fix my AC that broke for no reason". Then she literally started yelling at me and then hung up on me. When I tried to call back, I was on the phone for literally 11 minutes and no answer. I need my AC fixed and I need my membership canceled, immediately. I'll find another company to send my business to moving forward. Elena ruined it for me and I'm sure for many other people.

James was timely, knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and thorough. And best of all …. the problem was fixed in minutes! Thank you!

We got a confirmation message the day before, which was great, and our technician arrived exactly on time. He was courteous and respectful ( shoe covers in our home), and clearly knew what he was doing. He gave us detailed and thorough information, and answered all questions clearly.

We’re glad to be back with Design Comfort; in a moment of desperation we had another, national franchise come for service, and it felt like nothing more than a sales call.

Design Comfort staff did a great job 1) trouble shooting a condensation pipe leak and 2) providing maintenance for our furnace. We are on their maintenance plan and they even remind us when service is due in the spring and the fall. Technicians have always been professional and answer all of our questions. Design Comfort is a great company! We highly recommend them! -- 5/4/22-We just had our airconditioner serviced. Steven is the best technician. 10/24/22-I'm still delighted to be working with Steven and Design Comfort. The service and customer care is fantastic.

Design Comfort has been my HVAC vendor for years. They've installed my current furnace and air conditioner. I get a regular checkups from them. The technician that came today, James, has been here several times and I know him now. It's good to see that he's been with the company for several years.

They went the extra mile for me. I needed help with information about water filters and when I should replace them, the next thing I knew they where ordered and being delivered. I thought I would be searching around for hours trying to locate what I needed. I cant believe someone answered the phone let alone provided such great customer service.

DO NOT RECOMMEND I hired these guys to come put an end cap on a broken pipe to seal it up because I didn't have the proper tools to do the job. A service technician came out and spent 3 hours putting on a pvc end cap, a rubber gasket, and two metal clamps. He spent an hour and 45minutes at the Homedepot, 5minutes away. Then spent another hour playing on his phone while he had me dig the hole and run his power tools. After the job was "done" and the pipe was "not leaking anymore" he charged me $287. The guy did maybe 10minutes of actual work, and as soon as he left the pipe began leaking again. He used my tools, stole my tools, and then when he was called about the whereabouts of my tools he denied taking them. I called the company to ask them what was going on and they told me they would return my call, they never did. The service manager came out to fix the pipe and got the job done in 15minutes. But had no answers to the where abouts of my tools or what was going on with their technician. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I trust Design Comfort because i’ve known Steve, their Service Tech, since long before he went to work for them and I trust him. He wouldn’t be working for them if they weren’t a great company.

A technician, Ozzie, came to our home to do a scheduled check-up on our furnace. He was the most professional, friendly and knowledgeable tech that has ever come to do that. He never tried to sell us anything. He answered all of our questions.
Another employee came and evaluated some further work that we needed completed and to evaluate what we needed in an AC replacement. He also was very helpful and technically knowledgeable. He never tried to push any sales on us.
Our experience with Design Comfort has been excellent and we are looking forward to their work on our plumbing upgrades and our new AC unit.

James with Design Comfort was prompt, proficient and thorough. He was able to diagnose the problem and has set in motion a plan to correct the problem. Thank you.
