I have had so much trouble with my HVAC system since moving in less than 2 years ago, and after working with a company I no longer recommend, I signed up for the service contract with Barlow. They just came to give me my winter checkup, and the tech Sylvia was awesome! She helped me investigate a noise, made sure everything was clean & functional in my system, and talked to me about filters. It's nice knowing I can contact Barlow and they will actually solve problems!
Harry B did the annual furnace service check. He showed up on time. Obviously has years of experience. Talk me through the whole service process. Answered my all my questions. I ask him for a bid to add a humidifier to the system. He new exactly how he would do the project and the cost. Very friendly and talkative. My dog trusted him, that’s a good sign.
We had to call Barlow late on Friday afternoon for a furnace that that had shut itself down including turning off our thermostat. When I called I was told that a technician would call as soon as they were done with the call they were on.Trent called to let me know there was one customer in front of me and he would be to the house soon. Trent then let me know he was done and on his way. When he arrived he got right to work diagnosing the problem. He had everything needed on his truck to fix the problem and was done quickly. Thank you !Trent.
I had Trent come by to fix my old unit (he came the same day I called), and he did very quickly, he was very knowledgeable and professional. He told me about the newer units and how more efficient they are and set up a free consult about upgrading. Drew came and did some measuring and inspecting of what I had and gave me several options for upgrading. of course, I wanted the best system for the lowest price. I ended up getting what I felt was the best system, I got a new A/C unit, new furnace with humidifier, and a water heater. they had to make my return air vents bigger and add another return air line. they did it all in one day, Dave, Garth, Jones and about five other guys came. overall I’m very happy with everything, there was a small water leak from the humidifier line that Trent fixed when Trent and Drew came back a week after the install to see how everything was working. They truly did go out of their way to satisfy me. Great Job Guys!
At no point of making an appointment online was I notified of their $99 trip charge until the technician was done and I saw the bill. I contacted customer support about this and let them know that no where on there website, online schedule system, or confirmation email they sent for the appointment that they notify customers of this charge (and asked if they can show me where I can find this charge). Their response was that it is not posted anywhere where customers can find it and that I needed to call and make an appointment to be notified of this charge. The technician also wouldn't apply a coupon that was posted on there website, so now I'm having to fight to get my money refunded.
Harry is an amazing technician! He was so respectful, polite, professional and pleasant! We had great conversation and he got the job done!! Thank you Barlow! And you have amazing employees!
First let me tell you about the technician Rodolfo. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He would have received 5 stars by himself. While Barlow has a good Lennox furnace that they sell, they do not keep parts for all of them. My furnace went out overnight on Dec 23/24. I called Service Experts the morning of the 24th and they had a repairman out in 2 hours which was awesome! But, they did not have the parts required to fix it in stock. Parts had to be ordered in from Texas where, you guessed it, they were closed for the holidays. The parts came in on Jan 3rd and it was repaired Jan 4th. My recommendation to Barlow service experts is to keep at least enough parts on hand to repair any part of any model they sell. Then when that part is used, order another one in.
Absolutely great service from setting up the appointment with Alyssa to having Sylvia come out! Sylvia was very personable, answered all my questions and even walked me step by step to replace my furnace filter. Will definitely be calling in the spring for my AC. Thank you!
