I had a new furnace installed in June 2020. It worked perfectly with the AC system and fixed the problems my system was having. The installers were efficient, did a good job and were very professional.
Nine months later, the furnace wouldn't turn on from the thermostat. A Barlow technician came out and had it working again in probably 5 minutes. He indicated that the pilot light sensor developed some type of buildup(corrosion?). The technician suggested a dirty filter caused the issue. He was understandably reluctant to show me how to fix this myself. ("Check Google") He did offer to enroll me in their monthly fee maintenance service.
Since that time, I have regularly changed the filter, however, the pilot light sensor continues to develop buildup. As a result, I have had to remove and clean the pilot light sensor three times in the past year because the furnace stops turning on from the thermostat. I'm rather disappointed that the furnace is so finicky that it requires this level of intervention. This has not been my experience with prior furnaces.
My furnace shut off due to flooding. Rodolfo was great and knowledgeable. Taught me some things while we were in the crawl space and explained how things worked down there. 10/10. He even pointed out a leak in a hose for my water pump that he noticed which shows his attention to detail. Will keep coming back to Barlow.
We have used Barlow since our water heater went out in the home we had just bought almost about a year and a half ago. Everyone associated with Barlow is so kind and informative about things I would have never known otherwise as a new homeowner in an older house. Sylvia came out today to service our furnace and answer all of our silly questions and we were very happy with the job done today. Not to mention all of Barlows staff are soooo sweet to our pets every time they come.
Sylvia and Mason came by today. They did a great job in going over things and explaining everything! They were very helpful in upgrading my maintenance agreement too! Thanks so much!
We had the pleasure of having Trent come out and perform a tune up on our furnace. He was very kind and informative during the cleaning process. Our furnace works a little better after his tune up.
We had Barlow install two new Furnace and a Tankless Water Heater... Bryson and Gordon did a fantastic job installing all of the equipment... Very professional and friendly service. They worked very long hours to make sure we had heat in the home and were comfortable. ... very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We also were impressed by Rikely the Residental Sales consultant. He was very knowledge and friendly. We would recommend Barlow to anyone who needed HVAC or plumbing services.
Harry Biswell conducted semi-annual maintenance on our furnace today. He did an excellent job and based on his performance he appeared very knowledgeable and skilled in his job function. Just as importantly he was very personable and helpful. As an elderly woman, I was very comfortable having him in my home. He is an excellent representative for Barlow Service Experts.
