5 Star HVAC Contractors

Called about 2100. Told them it wasn't working and they told me something to look for first. It worked and the AC came back on. They could have easily charged me to come and do the same thing. Will be using them again in the future.

Five star was professional, very responsive, and gave us some helpful homeowner advice from their own experience which we appreciated. Highly recommend.

FIve start came out and did a complete inspection for our new church. They were prompt and very thorough in getting the results back to us! We will use them again!

City On Hill Community Church

The two technicians (Troy and I don't remember the other gentleman's name) that came out. They were very polite and professional. They were able to access the issue quickly and fix it. Price of the job was great less than what I expexted. I will continue doing business with 5 Star HVAC.

Edit: we have used 5star a couple different times one to replace our outside unit which they did an amazing job and price was good. They have been out on maintenance calls. They are always fast with getting the appointment and fast and thorough with the work they do.

Quick response time and very helpful with answering any questions I had. Learned a few things too!

The 5Star HVAC experience was great from start to finish. I actually got an employee on the phone when I called Sunday night. He was helpful and gave me good information. They didn’t have anyone available that evening but had Rick out first thing Monday morning. Rick was was great. Knew immediately what part was bad and replaced it within a few minutes. I definitely was impressed with 5 Star HVAC service!

Purchased 2 completely new hvac systems from them and had them installed only to have the outside unit completely fail in under 2 years. The tech that came to fix it (from another company) noted that the loud whining noise coming from the unit should have indicated that the compressor was bad (which it did from day one). I would have thought 5 star would have recognized this issue any of the 3 times they have been out since the install for minor issues that occurred every season.

They still get 3 stars because they are friendly, respectful and quick with their service. I am just extremely disappointed in the quality and knowledge of their techs.

After leaving a message with one of the well-known companies that advertises on the radio and not getting a return call, I decided to try 5 star, since they are located in my immediate area ( Rowlett). I could not have made a better decision. A technician was at my house within 2-3 hours to assess our situation, and repair service was scheduled for the following day. This was not a small job, and it was done quickly and professionally. Thank you to Tony and the guys that made our house comfortable again!

Great until after the sale. System died after first year and they will come out today if they have a cancelation. Also, I have two zones but have never been able to use each at the same time. These guys know air but they flunk airflow 101.

Update, "my bad" seems I am the one who knows nothing of air. The issues I was having or thought I was having were due to me misconfiguring my thermostat! I now have a better understanding of how my system is configured as well as it's features and performance. Also, the slow response from 5 Star was due to the unfortunate timing for their system upgrade. Now the good news... Although I don't recommend calling your AC guy and leaving a nasty message my guy "the owner himself Jose" was gracious enough to forgive me and still come out to ensure system was working properly. I still highly recommend 5 Star as they did an awesome job and stand behind their work.

Update from last review sometime last summer. While Jose can use another lesson in forgiveness, here's a cheat sheet (7x77) I shouldn't have to be calling him again for more freon but, he never did come back out two weeks later to check for and fix any leaks like he said he would. Waiting two weeks for freon in this heat IS UNACCEPTABLE. BUYER BEWARE! BBB here I come going to simply start there but may not be my last stop.

They looked my system over after I bought the house and did general tune up and maintenance, very knowledgeable.
