Avoid them by all means. They cannot care less. From the moment they show up all the way to their call system they just want to charge you for no reason. They do not honor their own agreement and they are not even able to give you a formal estimate for the services they offer. They try to sell you what you do not really need and have one goal, make you pay as much as they want especially if you are in need of ac and your ac is broken. Avoid them, anyone else is better than these people. I have called and emailed your "inside sales" point of contact more than 10 times in less than a week and only been ignored so it does not seem you mean to work on a resolution other than posting a response here.

Kevin G. repaired our heater blower. He arrived on time, very well mannered and professional, promptly inspected and identified the problem. The next day he had the part and quickly had it replaced and back operating correctly. Made sure everything was working properly and confirmed we were satisfied with the service. Thank you Kevin and thank you Air Specialist for the quick service. Highly recommend.

The technician was very professional he knew what was wrong with my ac. The only thing that I am not happy is I had to pay for labor to replace the motor something that should had been done two years ago when I told the tech that came that I could hear a rattling noise they kept saying nothing was wrong. I had to pay over 500 dollars for labor I think that’s a rip off. This job should have been done when I still had the warranty but y’all wanted to wait until I had no warranty. I am not happy with y’all company.

Our A/C stopped working and I called them at 4:30 pm and they had a technician at our house before 6:00pm. Joe was very professional and knowledgeable. He had our system back up and running in under 30 minutes.

An absolute rip-off. We used them for a year and NEVER again. Their prices are easily 25%-50% over other reputable HVAC companies. We needed a new fan coil on our Carrier system and they quoted us $2,500 (~$7,500 vs $5,000) more than another highly rated company. When we called them and let them know, they said they would possibly price match like it was no big deal, but they obviously just charge huge amounts and hope you don't shop around. They prey on Houstonians whose A/C have gone out and are forced to pay anything. Luckily we have 2 units in our house and were able to stay out of the upstairs while waiting for the more reputable company to come and do the work.

There are a ton of a/c companies in Houston. Pick any other than these con artists.

Had several estimates and Air Specialist was lower. When comparing quotes, Air Specialist’s quote was also very thorough. Employees were professional and helpful throughout the entire process. Air Specialist is concerned about ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction. And, I am completely satisfied with my new ac system.

Our HVAC system stopped cooling. I called Air Specialist last night and they sent a tech the next day. The tech replaced the condenser and the house is now cooling down. We are relieved. They charged a fair price for excellent service.

I chose this business because they had 93 likes on Nextdoor. I wasn't disappointed. They came same day, had the parts on hand, had my A/C cooling again. I signed up for their membership that includes maintenance checks twice a year.

Air Specialist is a top notch installation and repair company. We have used them for years on 2 homes and have been completely satisfied with every aspect of their service. Technicians and installations were all completed in a very timely manner. Professional and knowledgable staff - we are clients for life!

Tech looked at 2 units. After diagnostic, he said he "took care" of 1 unit and working on the other. Then he says 2nd unit is running with no freon. He could add gas but cannot quarantee it will last. We agreed to do it right and fast so let's get prices.
Then he gives me a quote for the repair, which I thought was a little on the high side. However, what surprised me was that on top of the 2hr diagnostic cost which is OK, a capacitor replacement for $290 which I wasn't aware of beforehand. Then he wanted to charge me $399 for a leak test which he performed in less than 5 mins. Again without sharing prices upfront. The capacitor is a $50 part the most and it certainly doesn't take it $240 worth to replace it.
I asked him why these prices was not run thru me ahead of time before the repair and he kept insisting that he thought I wanted to fix it quick. I certainly want to fix it quick but not feel cheated at the same time. He should have done a better job giving customers cost of repairs going ahead with it.
When appointment was made, Dispatch did say that diagnostic cost will cover charges of root cause and repair cost. Certainly didn't expect backlash of after charges after the fact.
