I have been very disappointed with the service from Air Specialist. The initial consultation and install in April of 2021 were great, the technicians which visited in July and yesterday were less than professional at best in their presentation with what I would consider a rude or condescending tone. Couple that with the fact that I was told in July that there was no service charge when speaking with the lady on the phone and yet get charged a service charge because the technician could not identify the problem only speculate that it was a capacitor on the outside unit as once he shut it off and restarted it, it worked fine. Yesterday was a similar issue, he thought it might be the capacitor in the blower motor but wasn't sure. Then there's the issue with every time I speak with anyone in your organization it seems that they are more interested in selling me a service plan than anything else. Although I appreciate that there might be potential benefits with this plan the last thing I need when having AC issues is to be bombarded with a sales pitch.
I can say with absolute certainty that after spending approximately $160 on two fruitless service calls that I will not be calling Air Specialist in the future.

I give John the technician 5 stars. He was so nice, very thorough and explained everything he inspected.
Kim in customer service was not pleasant, I called this morning to confirm the appointment I made weeks ago, and she told me I was on the board to be rescheduled. There were others with emergencies and if I had an emergency they would cancel other people’s appointments. She went on to explain that they run over a 100 calls a day and she could have the service manager call me (which never happened).The next available appointment was 6/27. I do not like these kind of conversations. She finally said they could keep me on the schedule sometime between 11-3pm. I called at 3:30 and was told I was next. At 4:30 AS called and said it would be 35-40 min.

Had a technician come out to repair my AC unit for my small business. My landlord locked the room to access the ladder which resulted in the technician not being able to do anything. I was charged $105 just for someone to come out here and I’d have to pay another $105 to come out again. The repairs likely would’ve exceeded $1,000. They won’t honor what the repair man said which was that they’d come back next week under a warranty call for “free”. Lost a customer. Opportunity cost would’ve been helping a small business owner, getting a 5 star review, and getting $1k in repairs.

I called around 5pm on Tuesday and was surprised that they could see me the next day. Even better, they called me around 8:15 to see if the technician could come by in the morning and he arrived around 8:45am! We had trouble with another A/C repair company and got the run-around for weeks. After weeks of delays, and feeling like we didn't matter I'm so glad I decided to call Air Specialists because Kevin fixed our problems within a couple hours and made us feel like we were important to them. He didn't just fix the problem, he went above and beyond - cleaning filters, checking freon pressures, straightening a duct, and replacing a U/V filter the previous company had just left unworking. He even put up with my large, loud German shepherd. I am extremely satisfied with the experience I had and will definitely be using them and recommending them in the future.

It was such a great experience working with my tech. He was very knowledgeable of the AC unit and he knew right away how to fix the issue i was having that was causing a leak. He also used protective shoe covers so he didn’t bring dirt into my home. I would definitely suggest using this company to any issues you may have.

BEWARE of this company and ensure that the technicians they send to service your HVAC are registered and licensed.

In July they sent an inexperienced technician to my new home to do a maintenance visit on my HVAC. My home and the HVAC is brand new, lived here less than a year. Never had any problem with my HVAC. The technician they sent to my home broke my HVAC. I watched him as he was checking my HVAC. While he was doing so the the UEi test instrument he was using was not working according to him. He told me the calibration on the instrument is not working properly, but it’s okay he does not need to use it anyway. He began pulling wires out and in. He then charged me +$400 to ‘clean’ the HVAC. After his service, my HVAC system no longer was working. It was July and my house was scorching hot and my pets were inside

I called the company and told them what happened. They then informed me that they would send someone out the next day to check the HVAC. They sent another technician who told me a major part was broken and they were going to have to charge me nearly $2k to repair it. I was told the initial guy they sent had little experience but they never had any problems with him. They told me it could take weeks to get the part and they would call me when the part came in. In the middle of July in scorching heat.

I told them I would be staying in a hotel because my house was so hot and my pets were in distress and I would send them the bill if they did not fix it right away. All of a sudden the part that was going to take weeks to arrive, showed up with a different and more experienced technician within 2 hours.

They sent the experienced technician with the guy that broke my brand new HVAC. The inexperienced tech became belligerent when i called him out on breaking my HVAC, he even refused to leave my house when I asked him to. He kept making excuses for his poor work, saying ‘these things happen…’ on a brand new HVAC system, that was working perfectly fine before he touched it? Yeah right. And he was using tools that were not working, he even said it in front of the other technician multiple times in my presence.

This experience was horrible to say the least and to top it off, after damaging my HVAC they are trying to charge my nearly $2k for the damage they did. They are trying to take advantage of me. I have called several times to resolve this issue, they say someone will call me back, but all I get is the run around. They have refused to make it right and refund me what I paid and now I have a damaged HVAC, i will likely have to replace sooner than is needed.

Please beware of this company.

This company has been exemplary from Beginning to end. Brent was my salesman and although very professional he was also very informative, educating me along the way and was personable throughout the process. From the technicians that performed the install (Lupe Luis) to the administrative people in the office to the technician/supervisor sent out to check the system for leaks I can not compliment the Air Specialist Team enough. ADDENDUM:
The company reminded me of the free maintenance check that I was entitled to after the whole system install last summer. They came out on time, checked the system, clean up and was gone. Love this company. They are very efficient. James is one of the Maintenance Tech Supervisors, always courteous and nice. I have already recommended this company to a friend interested in putting in a whole system for his home.

The scheduling was bad experience. It was set for between 9am to 1pm. When I called first thing in the morning to confirm, I was told to expect possible slight delay. Technician showed up.. after 5pm! Had I known it was to be so late, I would've rescheduled for next morning or thereabouts and let that technician take care of a more urgent situation (e.g., someone's a/c out) over my routine annual maintenance checkup, even though I had waited 5 weeks after initially scheduling.

On a positive note, the technician was great. If I decide to choose Air Specialist again, I hope to get someone like him. Another positive note is that I received the next day a phone call seeking feedback. I relayed everything I just wrote here. They acknowledged the service scheduling could've been better.

Called last night after hours when AC stopped blowing cold, technician (Carlos) arrived around 930a and spent a long time thoroughly diagnosing the system and was knowledgeable about my option. Very clean (booties in house), professional, courteous, are articulate in his trade. Will definitely use again.
