Air Specialist Heating & Air Conditioning

This company came to my home and serviced my AC Unit. I was informed everything was fine and repaired that we should not have anymore problems with the unit leaking water. I was super excited! I left my home and ran errands. I came home to the unit leaking worse than what it was leaking. I reached out to Air Specialist and the lady I spoke with ensured me someone would contact me right away. Two hours went by and my husband called. She said to him the exact same thing that someone will be contacting us asap that she made it a high priority. By this time my wood floors in my bedroom are damaged water is everywhere and we never received a call from anyone. The crazy part we were told that in a couple years we would need a new unit. We asked for a quote. They gave us a quote and we were going to go with Air Specialist to install a new system. But now, how can we trust this company that doesn't stand by their work, they don't return calls etc. This isn't fake, this is real on 11/5/2022 @4am a disappointed customer.

I had Joe helped me with my AC unit clean up. This is the bi-annually AC maintenance service to make sure the unit is running smoothly and the drainage system is clean. He answered all of my questions which help me keep up with the regular maintenance. I found him very knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend this company to my friends and family. Thanks!

So far so good. After 3 quotes on a new HVAC to replace our 17 year old unit we chose them. They replaced our HVAC unit this past week (Feb 2017). I'll add info on electric bills after I get some -- here is a before and after pic of the AC unit and some pros and cons.

Pros: the price was competitve to the Costco endorsed installers in Rosenburg. Their location -- use satellite on Google maps -- shows this is a serious company in the business of installing and servicing ACs. They act like a professional company that has been around for awhile. I liked that. I also liked their Pearland location closer to our house than Rosenburg.

The actual install of a Trane XR14 went very smooth. It only took about 1/2 the day w/a three man crew. We ended up with a nice new touchscreen thermostat and everything worked well after install. They also took the old HVAC and didn't leave a mess.

The benefits of a new unit: it looks nicer, is a fraction of the noise level when the AC kicked on (we had highs in the 80s the past couple of days), the drip pan has an auto shut off if the outflows clog, it should use less electricity, and as mentioned above a touchscreen thermostat that worked much better than one I had previously installed. Overall it is a nice piece of mind to know there is a 10 year warranty plus Air Specialist gives you 1 year free preventative maintenance.

Cons: the bill for a new install is not cheap.

But when you get great service from their technician to salesperson thru to their installation team -- and I was extremely impressed with the skill of the installers -- it actually takes most of the sticker shock out of the equation. I strongly recommend them.

The technician, Ramon, did an excellent job figuring out what was happening with the dampers in our 2-zoned AC system. He was very thorough, careful, and did a great job explaining what had happened and what to watch for in the future. He adjusted the dampers and made sure each zone was working properly. He did a very thorough job!

They always offer their opinion and don’t have any pressure on recommendations to your systems. I have used them for years and they installed a new AC coil and a new furnace on two separate occasions. They don’t overcharge for small items like capacitors on the ac and are honest with their labor. Joe Wills is a great tech too.

A few years back we purchased a new AC unit from Air Speciallist. We had a great experience, we received a reasonably price and quick install. They have been maintaining the unit each year also at a reasonable price. An AC unit is a big purchase and I’m so happy with the quality we’ve received so far. Their employees are friendly and professional from the office to the field. Thanks.

I guess since the project was less than a thousand dollars they completely ignored me, the guy said he was going to transfer me to scheduling and nobody answered, I left a message with my number, and they never called me back. Unprofessional.

My a/c went out at 9 pm on a Thursday. I called and they answered and immediately set a tech visit for early the next morning. They communicated a short window for expected time and kept me I formed via text. They also gave me a 30 minute heads up since I was at work when they were on the way. My tech was fantastic, explained everything thoroughly, and I was back to work within 2 hours. Thank you!

Had to have our entire downstairs HVAC system replaced. Air Specialist did a wonderful job from start to finish and cleaned up everything before they left! They were quick and explained everything to me in detail. Would definitely recommend!

We contacted Air Specialist to consult with them on a new AC. Ours was about 14 years old and had several problems. The power costs + KvA demand was increasing on our old unit. We discussed three options with Brent who made time in his schedule to talk with us. They showed us a cheap fix and a middle of the road fix. As an Engineer, I asked for a high efficiency unit price which was our choice. New AC units are not cheap, but fixing half of your problem is not always your best option. We were very impressed with Brent and appreciated his efforts. They came out on Monday at 0845 Am worked all day and Installed the new system finishing shortly after 1700, (5:00 pm) They did a great job and were professional and courteous to my Wife and family. They left the area clean and neat.
