    Our builder unfortunately used this contractor to install the HVAC system on this 2019 custom home. The customer service and competence of this company is the worst I’ve experienced in the industry. The ladies that answer the phones are curt, callous, derisive, and dismissive. The technicians are friendly enough but I have to question the company’s competence as three different techs came out over a three week period to service, assess, and fix the problem but failed to find (for three weeks) and failed to fix it. After the second technician replaced some parts—and still no AC—the third technician poked around and told us “we have to come back later to check for a refrigerant leak” as he didn’t “have that equipment on his truck.” They couldn’t come back to check until the end of the week. No sense of urgency after weeks of no AC. When I called, the service manager was immediately defensive, preferring to talk over the customer, but he acknowledged that the Trane equipment Hagar installs is “terrible.”
    So this is a company that apparently installs terrible equipment and can’t be bothered to fix it in a timely and professional manner when it fails (and it will fail). Arthur Hagar appears too proud of its past to treat its present customers with a modicum of respect or an ounce of appreciation. Arthur Hagar may have been around a long time, but that certainly does not make it a good company today. As the mounting 1-star Google reviews indicate, their worsening reputation reflects their poor performance. Arthur Hagar take notice: your policies and your people are failing you and failed us, your ex-customers.

    Have their systems installed in my new house. The heat is not working and they are not responding to any of my voicemails despite after hours services being advertised. It is too cold for my children to sleep in their rooms and we will have to get a hotel.

    Heat pump under warranty. Thermostat went out and between service call fee and labor, i can buy it cheaper and replace it myself.

    This company installed the HVAC system for our new build in 2021. Summer of 2022 the unit started having problems cooling down at night during the heat waves in June and July. I called Arthur Hagar for a service appointment and their process is incredibly redundant, inefficient, and detrimental to the customer. I called to schedule an appointment a week in advance and was put on the schedule but I was then instructed I had to call back the day before the appointment to "confirm" the time window. I called back the day before and they gave me a specific 3 hour time window that would work for their tech in the area. I work a night shift and this appointment time seriously conflicted with my sleep and work schedule. According to the office ladies "this is their policy" and they would not change it so I agreed to the specific time and date. They then called me at the ALREADY CONFIRMED TIME for a 3rd appointment verification, which I missed because I was asleep and my wife was the one waiting for them. They gave me 10 minutes to return the call before cancelling the appointment and moving on. They didn't bother to knock on the door or drive by the house even though they were in the area! I called and talked with the lady in the office and when I asked why this was the case I got excuse after excuse with copious amounts of attitude as an added bonus. If it's their "policy" to make you call three times to confirm an appointment and then give you 10 minutes to answer the door before they cancel on you, then their "policy" sounds like a great way to save a little gas money and lose a lot of customers. Especially with the impending 100+ degree heat waves coming in. At this point I'm willing to void the unit warranty just to get someone to come out and look at the unit. I would not recommend Arthur Hagar HVAC to anyone. Their customer service is among the worst I've ever seen in the DFW Metroplex and they make it painfully obvious that their only concern is their bottom line.

    Called on a Saturday. They advertise they do service nights and weekends. But they do not. AC out, and they cannot send anyone until Monday. False Advertising.

    The only reason I even had them out is because it's covered at 100% with our new home build. They make you call back to find out when they'll be there rather than any normal company that gives you a window of time. I've had them out 3 times now to fix an issue that should've never been an issue had they installed the unit and duct work correctly. Highly recommend finding a better comment to go with and not bothering with them or their rude office staff.

    1. Ductwork leaked and molded my bathroom ceiling
    2. Unit stopped working end of June called in July 5th. Without A/C for over 2 weeks.
    3. Customer Service will let you know they pick and choose who is more important as a customer.
    4. Owner will not return phone calls
    5. Ductwork not installed correctly repair by building within 6 months

    We’ve had Arthur Hagar service our AC units since we moved into our house 14 years ago. They’ve always been prompt, courteous and professional. They just replaced one of our units. They were very informative about our options. Needed access from inside the house to get to the attic unit. The installation was quick, they were very careful and cleaned up after the job was done. You would never know that they had hauled all that hardware in and out of the house after the work was done. They explained how the new unit worked, how to adjust it and filed all the required warranty information for the unit. The price was more than fair for the unit we installed. Great company and great job guys. Highly recommend.
