As a long-time Comfort Club Member, I am extremely pleased with the regular seasonal inspections and tuneups of our HVAC systems. Zachary was very courteous and thorough, and he gave us a heads up on a couple of potential issues that may need attention next visit. His service notes are very detailed, and they will be a great reference when he returns in the Spring.

As a part of the home inspection of the purchase of a home, I contracted with Russell & Abbott to inspect all the HVAC systems. After paying in advance $388 the technician came to the home and preformed the inspections. Per the technician, one unit was nearing the end of its useful life. I requested a quote to replace. The technician informed me that a "comfort specialist" would need to be the person to provide a quote. Upon contacting the office to schedule the "comfort specialist" I was informed that the quote would only be given to the owner of the home because too often the quote would only be used to negotiate the price of the home. Really??? Why would they expect I would be paying $388 for an inspection if not for that purpose. Obviously, they failed to understand I will be the person that will make the buying decision when the unit is replaced and rest assured, it will not be Russell & Abbott Heating and Cooling who will be doing the job.

Tried to sell me a non-programmable thermostat for $480.00. After replacing it myself for $25.00 it turns out a fuse was blown and didn’t need the thermostat at all. Maybe that fuse should be on the list of things to check before recommending such an expensive/overpriced part/repair?
Very disappointing after using y’all for years.

Once again as we enter into the cooler months Russell & Abbott came through when our heater blower went out. Prompt service which would have been sooner had they not had too order the part. But, they promptly ordered it , and immediately installed it. All is good! There will be a day when our unit will need to be replaced. R/A will be our go to!

I highly recommend Russell & Abbott. The technician, Edward Myers’s was on time, well within the 2 hour time window. He introduced himself immediately and was very professional. I told him what the issue was, that we were not getting any heat and that we had a similar problem back in the summer where we weren’t getting any AC, so I just turned the system off. I explained that a previous company came out in the summer to fix, and that they had to order a part. Unfortunately, I never heard from that company again. Ed promptly inspected the system and found the problem. It appears the previous company only did a temporary fix for the summer as the system was stuck on AC mode and only blowing cold air. Ed continued to work on the problem and fixed the issue. He even took pictures of the parts involved and explained to me what he was doing along the way. He was very professional, friendly and efficient the whole time. At the end of the service call he mentioned the different maintenance service plans available for purchase. He was very professional about this also and was not overly pushy about it. I highly recommend Russell & Abbott and especially Edward Dyers for any HVAC service.

Russell & Abbott has installed 2 different HVAC systems in my home. The staff is always very friendly, professional and on time. They always explain what they are doing to service my system. I have the Onyx system and have a 10 year warranty so I am never charged for anything that they do. I cannot recommend this company enough! They are a wonderful asset to our community!

Russell and Abbott are the best! We have had so many problems with our unit (not put in by them) and they have taken such good care of us every time I have called. All the techs are great. On our last service call, Auggie came to inspect our unit. He was very polite, professional and knew just what he was doing. I would recommend 100 times over!!

My only complaint was the cost. $336.00 for 2 lbs of refrigerant that typically costs $50 - $90/lb installed? WOW!
