Jimmy and Demitri were courteous and explained they were going to finish up the garbage disposal, shower head and pipes to my kitchen and washing machine. They were both very nice. I highly recommend Metro Plumbing, Heat and Air.

Matt was very professional, thorough, and took the time to do the job right. He explained it all to me in terms I could understand and for once, I felt that I could trust the job was being done correctly. He was great.

Gaelin Knight did outstanding work on a number of plumbing issues, explained what she was doing in detail, and has been very impressive. Today she was here with her apprentice, Ramsi Morrison, who stuffed herself under the sink and got it done - also impressive, see pics attached. I've been with Metro for 13 years, always great service.

I have been with Metro Plumbing, Heating and Air for about a year. I became a "member" of their program, which provides one plumbing inspection and two HVAC inspections per year. I feel that these are good values, with a serious caveat, noted below.

My problem with Metro is their policy of trying to upsell me on services at ridiculous prices. They insisted it was just to give me options, but it felt like an upsell. For example, I had them perform a plumbing inspection this week. They noted some deterioration of the materials in my toilet tank ... which is a valid point, they probably do need to be changed out. However, their price to perform this work is not even in the ballpark of reasonable. I will quote their "Premium Option" verbatim:

"Replace the flapper and fill valve, tank lever, and gaskets in the toilet tank to save water prolong the life and maximize the flush efficiency of your toilet. 2 Year parts and labor (3 year with HCC continued)"

The price for replacing the flapper, etc? $560.94

Literally $560 to replace the flapper, fill valve, tank lever and gaskets. The Amazon price for a Fluidmaster Universal All in One Repair Kit is $21 and it would take a homeowner, AT MOST, one hour to perform the service. I don't think this is a fair price for ANYONE and I feel that the people who pay this are often the most disadvantaged. I would be ashamed to offer this service at this price.

The caveat to the inspection service is this: Because of this outrageous price, it makes me think that they are just looking for opportunities to perform overpriced services. As a result, even if I have a real issue that needs to be resolved immediately, I will tend to dismiss it because I feel like they're not trying to advise me about my best options. If I can't trust that their advice is in my best interest, are they really the ones I want to perform the annual inspections?

At the end of the day, the answer for me is "no". If I don't believe they have my best interest at heart, then I don't need them to perform any services on my home.

One note: the technicians who came to my house were competent, respectful, and professional. I think they are doing exactly what is being asked of them. They took plenty of pictures to document their work. I don't feel the company is dishonest and I believe they do competent work. However, I feel the pricing structure of Metro is not reasonable and I would not recommend them to my friends for that reason.

Gaelin did a thorough job fixing my leaking toilet and shower. She gave me several options and did not pressure me on which ones to choose. Great job. I highly recommend Metro Plumbing.

Jimmy did a great job and thoroughly explained what needed to be done as well as the cost involved prior to starting the work. Very professional!

Enjoyed Sam replacing my upstairs toilet. Friendly but very professional. Cleaned up all work items and items that had to be removal, discussed All cost and options available. Very good experience.
