Bryson did a great job for me. Gave me excellent explanations of my HVAC problem and made sure conditions were very stable to take his data. Made the repair with conservatism so my expense was appropriate and not excessive.
My husband and I have used Panther for years. They have installed new ducts, HVAC system and a whole-house dehumidifier in the past. They now maintain for us. We whole heartedly trust Mike and his team of professionals to do the job right and at a good price.
These guys provide the best service I’ve ever had from an HVAC company. Four years ago they installed my geothermal service at my house in amazing job their experts at it. Josh the owner stare in that direction and I’ve been so happy with the system and the service of his company!
The Panther technician, Bobby Foard, was great. He arrived on time, conducted himself professionally, and responded to my questions. Also, he provided very helpful information. I was very pleased with the service provided by Panther. I would highly recommend them to others.
We’ve been customers of Panther for years and continue to give them high recommendations. The Technician arrived as scheduled, was very polite and professional, and did impeccable work on systems. These are good Rock Hill people (our kids went to school together) and are now in the second generation of their family providing excellent service. Many thanks to Panther!
First time with Panther and Bobby serviced our a/c unit. He was very polite, cordial, and informative. Explained everything in detail in what he did and sent detailed email. Thank you Panther and Bobby F. See you in the fall!
Customer experience has been great. Long term results yet to be determined. Only one negative. Support wasn’t able to offer ideas toward accommodating a working persons schedule.
Heat pump and exterior coil were installed in early 2020 after we were told “this is just best to just replace,” due to “leaks” that couldn’t be found. Not the price I really wanted to pay, (still paying it off) but with a, then, pregnant wife and 10 degree temps - Panther was the only HVAC contractor that could get it done next day - we went ahead and pulled the trigger. Kudos to them, huh?! Such great customer service! So, Panther replaced the air handler in the crawl space and the exterior coil but not the zone control system. No duct work was replaced either. To my knowledge, no permit was pulled - no duct leakage test completed (being as over 25% of the system was replaced, seems as though that would be necessary). Best part, the techs that came out sealed nothing (I mean NOTHING) with mastic or tape. Flex duct was just slid back over the collars and left that way. We have nest thermostats, so I declined having them install the one that came with the package we bought, but I even had to ask for it because they neglected to bring that out in hopes of using it elsewhere. $$$. We trusted they knew what they were doing, as they were recommended by a friend. Low and behold 4 months go by, Covid hits, we have a baby by this point, and our hardwood floors start loudly popping directly above the air handler location in the crawl. Three weeks into May of 2020: the hardwoods were rolling like waves, and pushed across the entire back half of the house. Humidity levels were at 65+ inside our house, and the air handler had produced so much condensation that it was already rusting and dripping puddles. Don’t get me started on the mold growth. I then seal the crawl space vents, clean, install a dehumidifier, and pull up the hardwoods one by one to reinstall them. Never said anything to Panther because, hey, shame on me for not checking, I’ll figure it out. Fast forward to June 2022. Exterior fan runs continuously, no cold air comes out of duct work. Happens at the same time almost every day, but flipping the heat breaker tends to fix it, until the end of July, when it doesn’t. We call Panther on a Saturday, who sends out their best and brightest for $179 to do a diagnostic test (since we were outside of the one year labor warranty). Literally the cleanest HVAC tech I’ve ever witnessed. Tech supposedly doesn’t have the correct equipment to do his job, but continues to push us to add refrigerant for $400 because there’s a leak, that he couldn’t find, or they would come back out with the leak tester (free of charge) later in the week. Tech was here 30 minutes, conveniently the system was running when he left, so we agreed. Three days later, they send the same kid out and the second thing out of his mouth was “it’s gonna be $208 for the leak test.” I told him to leave. They send out another experienced guy the next day, for free, who says there is no leak at all. Since I was at work, my wife asks him to check out the dampers as they may be remaining closed when air is called for. He does some “adjustments” says the dampers were the problem, and leaves. Air is on, all good.
Now here we are, 2 days later, with no AC. So today I crawl around in the crawlspace to find that there was no cut or pulled back ductwork from the collars where dampers are. Call me naive, but I’m not sure how you can fully confirm the damper wasn’t stuck, or didn’t have the potential to be stuck in any location, without doing that. The panel on the heatpump was never opened (I painted the mastic on a year ago, I would know). I don’t know what either guy actually did. I have nothing but nice things to say about the ladies in the office, they were respectful and helpful. This whole rant is more so directed at whoever runs this place - it’s obvious money is what matters. I’ll pray for you.
That said, if you read this far and you’re a customer thinking of using this company, just use someone else.
We have used Panther twice in the past year after being very disappointed in several other HVAC services. Our service man was on time, personable and was able to check a problem we had the day before with our heat not coming on during the night (58 degrees the next morning!) He fixed the problem with a new screw on the circuit board! He changed our filter and checked everything on the furnace. He did not try to sell us extra stuff that we didn’t need. I will never use another company!!!
