I chose Panther Heating & Cooling because of the reviews, I couldn't have had a more polar opposite experience than I've seen here.
The "technician" they sent was young and could not answer any of my questions with anything other than "maybe" or "probably". Did not fix my problem. Told me I was 2 pounds low on freon and charged $400 for this.
I had a separate technician from the company which installed my system come out 3 days later and he told me the setting that he switched on my thermostat (number of compressor cycles per hour) should not have been changed to the value Panther's technician set it to. He also told me with this system you can't just eyeball the necessary freon, and he also said the freon levels looked unchanged relative to the last time he was out (2 weeks prior). He told me after he was done that he ended up topping off the system 1.5lb and did not charge me anything. I was only having panther out to have a second opinion based on the reviews because I have a problem which is difficult to diagnose where my downstairs zone will go into wait mode sporadically.
On top of this, the van this technician was driving leaked oil all over my driveway. To the management's credit they did send a power washing company out but they could not remove the stains from asphalt so we're going to have to re-seal the asphalt again to cover it up.
So in summary I had an inexperienced technician (who also brought a trainee with him) spend 3 and a half hours at my house, not fix my problem, overcharge me for freon which I may or may not have received (I should have went out to witness but was trying to work at the time), and leak oil all over my driveway. I would not recommend this company and I'm pretty amazed that the reviews are positive here.
Bobby from Panther is top notch. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, takes the time to explain any issues going on, and does a fantastic job. I feel very comfortable with our HVAC in his very competent hands.
We called before business hours for our AC unit not working Monday morning and had a return call and service appointment later that Morning. Professional service man Bobby came to review the issue and explained 3 options including costs, pro/cons for each. Was able to make a decision and schedule install of new Train unit to replace a 17 year old failing one for later this week. Bobby also set the current unit to fan only with a cycle time to try to keep us as comfortable as possible until the new unit is installed. BTW: we were given 3 price points for replacement units and all the information necessary to decide on a new unit.
A/C broke on a scorcher of a Saturday and Terry came to the rescue! He not only diagnosed the problem quickly but assessed other potential issues to ensure we didn't have a repeat problem. The ladies who took the calls were so pleasant, too!
Brett did a great job. Found the cause of the problem. He even apologized for the problem occurring (even though it wasn’t his fault…. He knows he represents Panther). He has a great attitude and is VERY easy to talk to (great personal skills). Cleaned up after he finished and made sure I was clear on what he found and fixed He also made sure I was satisfied before he left.
We have used Panther Heating & Cooling since they put our system in our home in 2015. They provide GREAT service, coming for regularly scheduled maintenance and changing filters. Bobby is our regular technician - he remembers where our units and filters are and what needs to be done each time better than we do. He is also super friendly and professional. I would recommend Bobby and Panther Heating & Cooling anytime!
We called Panther after hours on a Tuesday because our AC wasn’t working correctly. They offered to come that night but we opted to wait until Wednesday morning. Terry showed up as promised, diagnosed the issue, found the part needed on warranty and ordered it with a promise to schedule a visit as soon as the part arrived. He was back 2 day later with the part in hand. Has fixed the AC and we are thrilled with the service, professionalism and competency. Thank you Terry and thank you Panther!
Very professional and explained everything that was wrong and what needed to be done to fix my a/c unit! Also provided us with and extra safety measure to prevent a massive leak in the future! Appreciate them beyond words! God bless them!

Listened carefully, asked the right questions and got things set right quickly and effectively. We are very pleased that we switched to Panther for our HVAC needs.
We have always been pleased with the quality of service received from Panther. Techs are knowledgeable and friendly. We feel our HVAC service contract is a good value. Twice yearly cleaning keeps our system operating efficiently and reduces the chance of unexpected repair bills.
