They initially tried to repair the old unit. My husband and I decided it was not worth the cost for something that was 11+ years old. The installation team for the new HVAC was lead by Donald. he was efficient, knowledgeable, polite, and very through. We are very happy with our new Carrier 2.5 ton unit!

We had this company come in to assess and “tune up” a heating/ac/ and dehumidifier system we inherited when we purchased a home. The service was exceptional! We could not be more pleased. It led to the replacement of two dehumidifiers in our home. Promptly and efficiently. The man who did the initial servicing, Sean, was knowledgeable and professional. Andrew, who assessed our needs, was very kind and practical in his recommendations. Adam and Donnie, the installers, were professional, polite, and fast! Wonderful workers, all. We have, now, a service contract with the company for year round maintenance. I highly recommend them.

Calling in a service call on a weekend (In July) when we were not maintenance customers is never a fun thing. The technician actually remembered coming out to the house a few months back for the same thing and remembered we had an infant at the house and made a trip over that day. Thats just ONE incident I can point to with Berkeley Heating and Air. We use them for all our HVAC.

We recently needed to replace an aging unit right as a cold snap hit. We met on Thursday morning with a representative and they were installing Friday morning! We got a great deal, great service, very fast and at every turn them make you feel valued and they care about you a customer like we're just "part of the family".

The service was impeccable from the moment I called! My complete system was replaced in a timely manner by respectful, efficient workers. My project manager stayed in touch throughout, then followed up a couple of days after the install with a visit to get eyes on the finished product and take some pics. Recommendations were made that will help me get the best efficiency from my new Carrier A/C unit.

The gentlemen who did this work for us were very professional, knowledgable, and worked efficiently to replace our HVAC unit. They were very respectful of our home, very friendly, and worked consistently to get the unit installed. Before they left, they made sure everything was working properly and the area where they were working was left spotless. We appreciated their excellent work and friendly nature.

We had a duct replaced in our attic last year. Yesterday, I found that it had totally disconnected from both ends it was attached to. It turns out, the tech didn't come close to installing this properly. He simply duct taped both ends to each other. So after a hot summer, there was virtually no tape left to stick, since duct tape doesn't hold up under attic heat well at all. No hangers to support the large duct, no clamps to keep it on, no mastic to keep it tight, just duct tape. A city inspector was here to approve some other electrical work we were having done and he confirmed to me also that the work Berkeley did wasn't close to being done right. This isn't the first time we've had problems with them either. They also improperly installed an air purifier to our system which wasn't running properly for years. They did refund some of the money to us for the air purifier in their defense, but we went years without it working. I'm not going to attempt a 3rd strike with this company. The service and quality of work they delivered was terrible.
